Biggest problem with ZBrush and architecture is that there is no easy way to make real size objects - lack of precision. I have tried few tricks but it is not suitable yet for real life cases. Concepts? Sure. Fantasy/Sci-fi? OK. But for real life architecture even free Blender would do better. I wonder if some measuring is coming to Zbrush now when we have that modeler?
CashFuelzCFXstudio Its not only about rescaling. Some models has to be done to exact size not only eyeballed, more-or-less. Imagine a simple object that has to be exactly 3cm high, 2.75cm wide and with depth of 45.25 cm. Good luck eyeballing it. You may fix it in Maya/Max/Modo/Blender later? Sure. You may model it in other software from the very beginning with less hassle.
+Nezumi Yeah, ZBrush is a sculpting program - its primary function isn't low-poly modeling. Blender, on the other hand, excels at low-poly (mostly 'cause you can move selections an exact distance) but is completely arse at sculpting. I think, if you wanna do architecture, you should get CAD software. That said, I don't get why ZBrush doesn't just allow you to type in a value when moving/rotating/scaling things. I guess exact measurements are just so contrary to its history as a sculpting tool that they never bothered.
Randomizing controls can help to "unstick" a designer's preset ideas in generating forms. I am going to say that is a plus, until I get more info. I will assume that it is possible to generate non-orthogonal forms in composite arrangements. // One observation: Architecture is a process that usually originates at the level of spatial units in the programmatic phase and not by generating the envelope from the onset.
A couple of suggestions: you need to increase your mic volume for your videos, and you need to drop the word ACTUAL or ACTUALLY from your vocabulary. Things exist without needing to be labeled "actual" every time.
Perfect pedagogy here! Not too fast, nice voice and a lot of informations! Perfect!
Yes we have Joseph Drust on the MIC! I'm glad they brought this guy on board!
Terrific tutotrial

Nezumi yea hopefully Zbrush 5 will bring this for you guys that don't have Maya for rescaling

Kinda strange to use ZBrush for that.
How can it be that when "I hold down the shift" nothing change happen? will you please advice me? Thanks
wonder if capcom use zbrush or maya for street fighter v models
Awesome
Great~! thanks~
I cant find the Initialize on Tools! Why?

Make ZBrush parametric otherwise this is useless
