On May 30, 2024 at Mile 7,835, I’m at the Sandusky Amtrak heading to Cleveland to tackle the 100+ mile Towpath Trail that runs between the Ohio & Erie Canal and the Cuyahoga River from Cleveland, Ohio to New Philadelphia.
This episode covers the 4 days and 43 miles that I walked from Cleveland to Akron.
Along the way, I check out the wildlife, such as lightning bugs/fireflies, sleep next to a lagoon while toads and frogs sing me to sleep, and pass by some touristy sites, including the house from the 1983 movie, A Christmas Story.
I also encounter one of them #humanswithwings, an interaction with a policeman and get spooked by some weird noise in the night. What the hell was that?
Due to a week of rain forecasted, I jump off the trail on June 2, at Mile 7,878 and catch buses to Morgantown for more adventures.
I end this episode with the usual invitation to “come walk a mile with me and experience the magic”.
