- I thought it would be fun to write Must've been the Wind by Alec Benjamin from the girl in the song's point of view. I think it's a great song and I love putting little twists like that on songs. (Just a disclaimer the lyrics were not at all from MY perspective, I've never experienced the trials the girl in the song faced, I simply adjusted the lyrics). I didn't know what to film so i just made a basic lyric video. I've been working on it for weeks because I hate doing the lyrics (it takes forever) so I would only do a little bit everyday lol. Oh my gosh I’m listening to this again and...My computer has latency issues with DAWs and that’s why the timing is off a little bit. It irks me so bad but I didn’t know how to fix it when I recorded this. 🤦♀️ Im so grateful for all the sweet comments on this video though!

@@R0SE04I know this is really late, but something I tried to do was rewrite "stranger to myself" from the policeman's perspective, I thought how sad it must be to have to deal with someone who thinks there is a murderer but its just themselves. I couldn't do it very well and only got one verse down but if you're still posting videos like this maybe you could try it? I think it would be a really powerful song

I literally had chills running down my back listening to your voice! It’s so beautiful. The first lines of “It must’ve been the wind” really sounded like the girl was trying to fool herself that she’s just dreaming and none of this was true, and the last part sound like she believed that she will be saved and things will get better in the future! I just found this. The lyrics are really good, and so is your voice. The last verse made tears come to my eyes. You may not have experienced it, but you managed to capture it very well. I haven't experienced the exact situation with physical abuse. But verbal that gave me trust issues? Yup, and you managed to capture a girl struggling, and reaching out despite herself.
I listened to this at the same time as Alec's and it is incredible and honestly I love it

Your voice is gorgeous but theres something off. I think it might be the rhythm or the pitch that dont match with the piano? Im not that good at music? If you wanna get better def practice more i can see you get rlly pretty singing voice
Thank you! I appreciate this. I listened to this again a while back and I realized my computer had latency issues, which means when you record the track will be slightly delayed. That’s why the backing track and vocals don’t quite match up. It’s super annoying and I wish I had known how to fix it back then.
