Stephanie was so lucky to find you. The work you've done at the Chateau has totally transformed the gardens and grounds. I love the way you're cutting the paths in the grass, as you say the insects are benefitting so much.

I use a John Deere mower at work, and we have a rule that at the end of the day we "clean, fill and oil" the machine. The oiling is especially important because we clean it every day (should have 5 points to grease, 2 of them the wheels). We are NOT on top of the grass at the moment so making sure the machine works at its best is needed 🙈 (I have had a summer job in parks and recreation the last 11 years)
Love the John Deere we have but was given a Club Cadet and it’s nice. Before putting it way we do the same and it has a spot to attach a hose to to clean underside of mower where grass collects. It’s sooooo nice.
The deck I think my honey calls it.
We have a ramp my brother built so we can easily get that blinking stuck grass out. High pressure hose helps. Service easier too. We also have that rule about cleaning and checking oil, fill gas. Works great for us.
@@KrisanthiaMum That must be so nice, we don't currently have a proper ramp at work (new manager so he's fixing it finally!), so I have to line up two triangle angled pieces of wood and then drive up them as a makeshift ramp to clean 😅 don't think it would pass a health and safety inspection 🙈😅
New boss also fixed a pulley system so we can change blades at our location now and don't have to drive the John Deere for 25min on a high traffic road to get to the shop to have them fix it for us. Game changer to say the least! :)
That lawnmower needs a good cleaning before Mummy comes back! 😂😂😂

Great job Dan. Number 2 today. lol I didn't know Lalande had an outside "breakroom". LOVE the lawn this year, esp. with the view looking down on it.
I’d stay away from the chateau kitchen too. The shed is calmer.

Years ago we had a big lawn and just a small normal mower. We decided to just cut paths and small areas and leave the rest to grow. We were awarded with lots of beautiful wild flowers and butterflies too!

I love the wildlife patches you have created on the lawns. We have done “no mow May” this year and have seen a big increase in insect life.

WELL, thank you Dan! I'd always wondered what was back in that little area lol. Did get a quick glimpse once from Stephanie. But all we were shown was a ton of sticks for the stakes for the tomato plants lol. Guessing there is no electricity back there lol. Hence the propane stove. You really have made a HUGE difference at the chateau in a short amount of time. It shows that you take great pride in your work. And these little B roll types of clips of the grounds is quite beautiful. Thank you! I've watched it twice along with the adverts to help pay for that camera lol.
