- Who's ever forgotten their WiFi password or have been at someone else's house and they forgot theirs? I know it's happened to me many times. With this setup, allow your guests to connect without needing to remember the password at all. NFC tags have been around for a while now, but I have recently came across some great use cases for them. This video will show you how to get these set up and working to allow your guests to automatically connect to your wifi network just by tapping their phone to your pre-programmed sticker.

Pretty sure he was just artificially increasing the length of the video to run more ads :\
skip the first minute
Thanks saving my time❤
Thanks Cuh
@@MuhammadZohaib02, You just wasted the time by commenting.
I set up a few of these to work with my Broadlink RM Pro, i tap the NFC and it fires off the commands to turn on speakers (rf plug socket) and select the amplifier input.
Also have one to turn on/off garden lights (again rf plug socket)
Have any luck getting iPhone to work properly?
I did the exact same thing, but this isn't working.
The same programmed NFC tag would work for android and Iphone?
Hello, could you help me please, I am trying to configure some NFC cards to share the internet but I cannot make them work, what configuration is for authentication and what is for encryption, could you help me please
I did exactly but my iPhone can’t read this. My iPhone 11 can read Only url and phone number (not entire contact)
Would guests be able to re-program the NFC tag to do something else?
You can lock ur nfc tag from being rewritten
why would your guests do that
@@peerko7223 Hypothetical question.
0:42 maybe I’m new here but...what???
I’d like to make the WiFi password change each day, and have an nfc tag or a screen with a bar code to activate it. We have troubles with people hanging out near the business just to use the WiFi. Homeless people..
Are you looking for a solution?
@@jackatk yes would love one.
@@waynenocton
I guess you could make it direct you to a website that automatically signs you in with the new password of the day, but I don’t know enough about web development to know how to make that work… I’m sure you could find something like it in a tutorial though!
Why do you recommend using a guess wifi instead of the regular network?
Better security mostly. They can't access your router, devices, or files. Another reason would be guest networks can be limited to whatever bandwidth you want. Mine is set to 40mbps so someone can't saturate my speeds. Otherwise it would be fine to use the standard network.
Dont work on iphone(idk if itll work on other phones, mine is iphone)
Tried to write onto my iPhone 11 on several of the NFC apps. I can’t get it to automatically come up and connect to the WiFi without using an app. Any ideas?
I think the new ios just don't allow connecting to wifi using NFC anymore. I had the same issue. I can use NFC to open a link, but not wifi
Great video! Thank you!
it doesnt work without having it downloaded
of course it doesn't work on iOS, no issue on android
Well i did indeed set it up but it doesn't connect tho, it stucks saying "connecting"
I tried on my iPhone 11 Pro Max using same app and can’t get it to work, any ideas?
On iPhones you need another app which you find typing in nfc WiFi but if you put a website on the tag you don’t need an app. Without an app only works on android but not all
Victor Blanc thanks, I’ll try that tomorrow! 👍🏼
@taylortech Is it possible for me to program an nfc to have guests connect to my mobile Hotspot when it's on?
Your web domais expired.. just noted while trying to buy the sticker..
Good video
Is there a way to let say, arm the house on SmartThings by tapping an NFC in the bedroom? Or maybe set off alarm in an emergency?
Yes! There is. In fact, I have recorded the video and am currently editing it. It will be up next week.
@@TaylorTech That is awesome! (and you too. Thanks!)
Starting at 0:01 Thank you
@@psilver03 I don't get it. I keep seeing people say that if you program a nfc tag to turn lights on in shortcuts app, you will have to program on every device. Does this app let you permanently set a task which shortcuts won't?
Dude your belch and the color bars after wards almost made me spit out my drink in a burst of laughter! LOVE IT!!!
Haha burp funny?
Of course, not all cell phones feature Near Field Communication (NFC), my new Samsung doesn't.
Terry Thomas what Samsung
Ends at 7:56 thank you.
Who did your video intro? its awesome...
we didn't need the burp
Yes we did
Does this work with iPhone?
I have an Android phone to set it up but can the sticker work on an iPhone.
Unfortunately it didn't work for me.
ios is crap. I tried multiple ways to get this working but looks like Apple didn’t enable this capability directly. I have to use an app to read the data and then click.
This does not work on Iphone.
What phone did you use?
Good
Possible to make a shortcut when a friend do this with his phone…so Siri says ”thanks, you are now conected to the wifi”
Huh?
No but you can display text, Siri ain’t gonna say it
Are you Joe Pera?
I don't think so.
That burp! What the heck?
I know... Totally unexpected. I had to put it in 😆
It made me think of Joe, even though I can’t say I ave heard him do that before. czcams.com/video/Fm1RvzfPRh0/video.html
Starts at 4:51 Thank you
skip to 4:47
3:30
video starts at 4:40
This is bullshit. you need another app to connect to the wi-fi. He deleted a completely unrelated app.
Just skip to 4:47. The video is too long.
Can I use iPhone with these?
#4096
Too bad this only works for Android
Actually it works on newer IOS devices
Reading works but need to download and run an app to read the tags.
John Brian Silverio no ?
NFC Tagwriter by NXP for iOS. You are welcome.
The burping made me stop the video. Not cute. Moving on to another video.
Time wasted 😖 please don’t do this again 😒
