What a contrast to the first edition of packs. Me thinks Jack is engaging in bait and switch tactics. Those first packs were way too good to be true, and I expected this might be the guy's end game.
I understand what people are saying. If they pay almost$500 for a box. There should be a chance for a $1000 or more chaser. That being said... If you could sell each card one by one you probably get at least $400-$500 value per box but youd have to put in work to try and get your money back. I could tell Jabs was frustrated with what was coming out of the boxes too but it's not his fault.
Good news, Jabs - the Pirates started a Hall of Fame last year and inducted 19 players. Not sure if they've done anything to make a permanent recognition of the players yet, though. McCutchen will find his way in there after his career is over.
These are not worth the entry fee. The lack of any big chaser made it not worth the price of investment, it’s just a lot of worthless filler to be honest. Feel bad for whoever invested in these could have used the money to buy your own Mantle. Lol. To make it worth it there should be x number with big chasers, some with medium stuff and some duds.
