This is a killer flat! Love that it’s two floors! In the US we call them townhomes(usually have an exterior entrance), and I can attest that the townhome life is pretty great, I actually prefer it over a single floor space. It’s just a great way to break up sleep with work and cooking.

Just a lil fyi - a flat with two floors is a duplex, a maisonette is a property within a building with its own private entrance/no shared spaces (these can also be duplexes) x

I love how it's all white and light colored. I live in a very similarly distributed flat, also a maisonette, and I think it's actually a bit bigger (we have an office apart from the bedroom upstairs, although they are smaller rooms and they both have angled celing) but the owner went for all dark wood furniture and the kitchen is red, and it looks much smaller and like crammed. I wish all people understood that, when decorating small spaces, using light colors is key. It makes it look more open and spacious than it is.
This place is so much nicer than your previous place. A blessing in disguise

I think the cupboard in the bedroom that you sat in is possibly a Linen cupboard, very common in older properties, usually to store spare bed clothes and bath towels if you have more than you need

9:30 that’s an airing cupboard! If the flat is old like you mentioned, it’d originally have held a hot water tank with space to put wet laundry to “air” out because of the heat

Hi! It’s in zone 1🫶🏼 I haven’t talked to Theo yet whether we’re comfortable sharing the exact price online, but it was within our budget, which was max £2450 a month! All the properties we saw were between £2000-£2450 🌸
For those wondering, this is a zone 1 flat between 2000-2400 pounds.
Insane rent!!! My son has less to pay on his mortgage for a 3 bed semi detatched house with huge garden and drive.

Just a tip to cut magic erasers in strips - that way you don’t ruin the whole entire eraser every time you need to clean off a mark.

I don’t want to be mean but why live in central London in a minuscule place without even a balcony, when you could move an extra ten minutes out on the tube and have a terrace, a dining room, a guest room etc?
I love living small and in the centre of the city 🫶🏼everyone is different!
