    If you ever plan to return to Norway for another trip, I would highly recommend going to a city that often seems overlooked in travel videos. Trondheim. As well as taking the boattrip along the Telemark canal, from Skien to Dalen in Telemark. Ending the boattrip with a stay at Dalen Hotell.

    At :24 there a ship with a red hull in the harbor. It looks like it has a giant round trampoline with green lights on the edges. Do you know what this is for?

    • @garmo98
      @garmo98 Před 4 lety

      It's a supply ship for the offshore oil rigs - not sure why the trampoline.

    • @mojojim6458
      @mojojim6458 Před 4 lety

      @@garmo98 Thanks, Gary. Maybe the guys on the rigs like to relax by jumping on trampolines. Just joking.

    • @garmo98
      @garmo98 Před 4 lety +1

      @@mojojim6458 After watching another video on these ships I think they use the trampoline to drop crew members transferring to shore. They lower them by a boom from the rig.

    • @BackPackerSteve
      @BackPackerSteve  Před 3 lety +1

      All the places in Bergen city are easily accesible by public transport - for the spots outside of the city you'd need to organize transfers or a tour (which is probably the better option).

      There's a light rail going from the airport and into the city center. Also buses and taxis, but wouldn't recommend taxi as it's very expensive. There are also trains going from Bergen to Oslo.
