EZRA follows Max Bernal (Bobby Cannavale), a stand-up comedian living with his father (Robert De Niro), while struggling to co-parent his autistic son Ezra (introducing William Fitzgerald) with his ex-wife (Rose Byrne). When forced to confront difficult decisions about their son’s future, Max and Ezra embark on a cross-country road trip that has a transcendent impact on both their lives. Directed by Tony Goldwyn, who also appears in the film alongside additional cast members Vera Farmiga, Rainn Wilson and Whoopi Goldberg, EZRA is an endearing and often funny exploration of a family determined to find their way through life’s complexities with humor, compassion, and heart.

I have autistic son who is 6 yrs old .. hope this movie show the struggle we go in everything to make them accepted
From what it looks like it does because of how outside society looks at autistic kids. I have a 5 year old on the spectrum and this is a similar experience I’m dealing with

This looks like it will be a beautiful movie and love that some people are trying to put more awareness with special needs. I just wish everyone could see the different families POV because I tried to do everything in life right and wanted to make my mom proud. I went to high-school graduated then went to college and got a degree in environmental science and just when my wife and I wanted to start our careers and family at the same time God blessed us with 3 nonverbal sevelry autistic children. We had to set our dreams and goals to the side immediately and learn about autisim to evolve and adapt. These past 10 years sunk me into such bad depression because I kept asking myself why did this happen to us. My mom told me God blesses us with these children for a reason but what that reason is we don't know. I still struggle in my mind to this day with it but I love these chikdren and they are so sweet and innocent. Even though they can't tell me they love me just a hug and a kiss is all I need. Please parents be grateful if u have normal chikdren and never take them for granted because if u think ur life is really bad try to imagine our lifestyle or any other parents that have chikdten with special needs or a rare genetic disorder that makes it to were these chikdren will never have nirmal lives like everyone else. I've accepted the fact I will probably have to take care of these kids till im 70 or in the grave but what scares me is after my wife and I are gone they will have no one to look out for them and institutions scare me. Love everyone and God bless u all. Remember be grateful and don't take ur kids for granted.
Being a parent of an autistic daughter this movie is gonna wreck me. Wish there were portrayals of non verbal.

There is no such thing as non verbal! Everyone can speak, be it through their mouths or computers or anything that can express words -- autistic people are NOT neurotypical!!

As a new single mother (secretly want to be a comedian😂)with an "autisticly fun "non verbal prodigy 5 year old boy....I definitely can relate ex;we have 6 locks on front door,so yesterday my son breaks out the screen window and sneaks outside and is sitting on top on my car watching CZcams living his best life,I'm upset and amazed at the same time😂🎉❤

There's NO WAY that driving across the US on a 1970's Cadillac Eldorado would be cheaper than taking a plane. that's over 5000 miles round trip on a 12 MPG car. Not to mention the cost of hotels along the way.
