My first Dan Tope-knives

- In this video I show my first two knives made by knife make Dan Tope. The Overkill is 8" long and .250" thick, made out of 52100-steel. The handle material is Green Canvas Micarta with Black Liners and Mosaic Pins. The Custom Vidarr 2.0 is about 8" long and .250" thick, made out of W2-steel with Hamon. The handle material is Double Black Canvas Micarta, Carbon Bolsters, Black Liners and Mosaic Pins.

It's a shame you do not use that beautyful blade in he woods.
I didn't see your comment until now, but you're right. This one has def. seen to little actual use. I'll have to change that sad fact, and hopefully deliver a video on it as well!

Not a fan of polished micarta, but I think they're both stunning! I fancy the Vidarr slightly more, as its design is more towards a big camp knife and the carbon fiber bolsters add some character to it. Looking forward to an extensive test! Thanx PG10
I'm sorry for my late reply, don't know why I missed your comment. And the comment below yours. I went with Micarta on both of these knives because I intend to use them hard. If not, I'd have gone with totally different scales. Although, both knives turned out pretty awesome looking, imo. The Vidarr looks very much like I wanted it to look, aggressive sort of, and the Overkill feels like a part of the forest with the Green Micarta and dark brown sheath, lol.
Two killer knives, i like the overkill the most, just looks more sexy to me. But to have a hamon on a knife is something special for sure.
The Overkill took me by surprise. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. Fantastic look and feel to it!

@@PinkG10 ya why is it that a knife company that constantly sells out and has a huge fanbase, not increase the production of their knives? Is DT trying to create a false sense of scarcity? Or are they just not a good company in that regards(not their blades, i mean their production rate).

Did you ever post some more videos of your custom vidarr 2.0?
I think I never did, despite using it quite a bit. I did document some work, but only with photos. I'll try to record a new video in the coming weeks, or maybe months ...
