He may well have been proud but Archeology and Paleontology are not the same thing. Archeology is a study of relatively recent human past and is more rooted in humanities (history) than Paleontology is rooted in Earth Sciences.
They are very different subjects that are not alike, Paleontologists are Geologists and Archeologists are historians, essentially.

@@digthewarmth he was trying so hard to be witty but honestly a straight answer would have been nice. He seemed so aloof, I am surprised everyone feels like he was robbed of time, honestly he came off as detached from the situation and trying to force humor.

Cole is really self deprecating and sarcastic and if all you know is he’s the child from Big Daddy and currently starring in a teen drama on CW that’s unexpected. Lol! Obviously his fans (myself included) are familiar with his demeanor so we are receptive to his style of humor going into the interview

Well, that's what they were known for after taking a break. Not much more you can ask. Basically, you can only talk about sack and Cody, river dale, life during college.
Honestly, I'm glad they didn't. That show is tedious and annoying and the mature adults who didn't grow up watching it aren't going to care about a kids show from 10-15 years ago. Plus, the Sprouses are adults now. They probably want to get away from their time on Disney, like most former Disney stars, and get recognized for their more mature roles.

Half way through the interview, Stephen realized that Cole is more interesting than he thought (look how Stephen's body language change when Cole starts talking about Archeology)... and, the interview had to end soon after. It's a shame.

Cole is charming as always, but this interview was cut way too short and Stephen could've asked him much more interesting questions
Absolutely. He always gets asked the same things. I've heard him call himself a "treasure goblin" in response to an archaeology question over and over.
I don't know why he asked the same old questions....Cole is so intelligent---could've been a really great interview. Usually the interviewer goes over the questions w/the guest b/4 hand. Cole must get tired of the same questions....could have brot up his photography , the Met Ball etc.
Carolin Mölders I don’t think the nature of his show is to have long in-depth interviews, and cole is naturally easy to have a conversation with. Cole kept adding in sarcasm and little jokes which kept his answers more surface level but also appropriate for the show’s audience. Cole has a lot more informal and “intellectual” interviews on CZcams that are really great and not under the time constraints of Colbert.

He's told that Jen Aniston story so many times, can we get past his child acting career and dig in to better conversation? He didn't ask anything about the movie I'm sure he's there promoting. Ugh. I love Colbert but he seemed disinterested from the start.

Yes, he deserved a longer interview, I wouldn't have minded hearing about his archaeology Cole could teach more about the digs, I wouldn't be surprised if he got a show doing digs in archaeology sights, or produce his own one day.
