Travel Colorado Springs/10 Things to See

We're in our favorite Colorado City visiting some familiar places and adding some new ones to our list of great things to see. We start by stumbling upon a quirky restaurant that fit the theme of our next spot, Trip Advisor's Best of the Best Museum, The National Museum of World War II Aviation. We also went to another spectacular location in Colorado Springs, The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It's one of the best in the country. It's location and interaction with the animals is a hard one to beat. Revisiting Old Colorado City gave us a chance to refresh our knowledge of boom towns of the Gold Rush Era. If you haven't seen or plan to skip Garden of the Gods, we'll I'll just say it, you're nuts!!! It's unique and gorgeous. Don't forget to see the Old Trading Post there too. Oh and Rock Ledge Ranch is right across the road from the visitor center. Glen Eyrie Castle was impressive and new to us. We took the tour. What beautiful grounds. The last two spots were side by side: Penrose Museum and The Broadmoor Hotel. These were both great spots to learn more about a prominent Colorado Springs family and soak in the beautiful hotel atmosphere.
