This is the best DOE case study and introduction level instructional video that I have found. It is presented in a very clear and interesting way. Thank you Paul Allen for making it and sharing it with the world !
Thank you for your time explaining this!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you very much Mr. Paul Allen. Very useful case study...
Arokia - if you like the video, you might find my books useful. Drink tea and read the paper is available on LULU.COM
Hi Paul, can you tell me how the factors contributing to variation were combined to form your D.O.E? I'm a bit confused as to how you arrived at 9 tests from your 12 factors. Thank you in advance!
amazing video, perfect example
Cheers Maedeh...
Thanks once again Paul. The tutorials are very helpful !!.I am about to commence my black belt project and the company I am working for wants me to look at over-production (meat industry). I am wondering what production metrics can I use. Thanks once again for your lectures.
Sheunesa - I'm guessing that the business has a metric otherwise they wouldn't know that they are over producing, I would use that initially and then if a better more local measure appears use that, something simple like number of packs per day or hour....
@@paulallen5321 thank you so much Paul
How did you discover the spatter was your ultimate signal of quality?
Was it a process of inquiry?
Just good listening to technicians?
Hi Michael - yes they decided to use spatter as a measure of weld quality...and there was no way we could test each weld. Really the best way to do this would be to make sample pieces as part of an R&D exercise...
Can you please make a tutorial on how you demonstrated the results on the chart, and how you got your final values? Many thanks from iran🇮🇷
Just loaded that video Mohamad...czcams.com/video/FlsGMhXn3QI/video.html
@@paulallen5321 thank you sir🌹

Dear Paul I see that we split the values for the first variables but what you do for the rest variables and their values. Which combination do you take?
Thank you in advance.

volume is too low!
Fabio - thanks for the feedback, i'll see if I can edit this...
why are there only 12 tests?
Because some clever person has worked out that those are the best 12 test to do to learn the most...actually it was 2 people...Plackett and Burman
Does no of experiments depend on number of variables
@@Vision267 actually there are other methods like taguchi which you can use depending on number of parameters and sample size
Thank you SIR PAUL!!!!
Ruben - Thanks, If you like the video's maybe my book 'drink tea and read the paper' might be of interest. You can get it from LULU.COM
@@paulallen5321 I already downloaded yesterday from lulu.com, start to read your book Sir😁
Ruben - thanks for your support..
