This only video that showed how to use mousse. Can we use straightening iron rather blow-dry
No
I'd say don't. Mousse is supposed to give volume or texture to hair. If you use straightening iron on mousse, let alone still wet hair, I'm rather sure you are making major damage to your hair. Imagine going through something fluffy, like cotton candy, with straightening iron: it would just cause it to burn and melt.
@@iRinnda hei can i ask, how about i use mousse after straightening? Is that fine?
@@jessicaaaavelina2745 To my own experience (I have extremely straight, fine and slippery hair) the mousse doesn't really do much if you've already straightened your hair.
The mousse itself is fluffy, but it is also wet. On hand, it feels like you have a handful of soap foam. Once you put it in your hair, it dampens it, causing hair to become flat, like in the middle of a drying it out. Once it dries, it leaves the hair with more structure. Imagine seeing a pile of soap foam on a table: once it dries out, there's the remnants of white soap left. In hair, that's the structure which helps to style out your hair and to hold it for longer, especially with slippery hair like mine.
I'd go about using mousse in this way, if you want to straighten, too:
1. Wash your hair
2. Add the mousse to damp (not watery wet) hair.
3. Blow dry your hair. If possible, use as cool air as possible. To get most fluff, I usually blow dry with my head upside down. :D
4. Gently brush out DRY hair.
5. After heat protection product, straighten your hair. If you have straight hair like mine, you don't even need to straighten all of it. Just the top layer and the lengths of your hair will do.
6. Still want more volume? Gently tease near the roots. You can also carefully add small amounts of hairspray if needed for more hold.
7. Brush the top layer of your hair to hide the teased parts and to give finished look. Add hairspray.
Mind you, I am not a hair dresser or expert on hair. This comes purely out of my own experience with only my own hair. ❗ *This is NOT my daily hair routine!* ❗ I usually go through all this effort only when I'm going to party with my friends, which is usually a couple times a month max. :D
@@iRinnda thanks for the reply :D
This helped soooo much
I got a shag not to long ago and have straight/think hair(I said thick can it makes my hair bounce slightly on its own luckily) and I needed to figure out how mousse works cause my hair cutter said I needed to put it in my hair then pretend to strangle it and it didn’t work. Turns out mousse doesn’t work when your hair is dry
wow why haven't I discovered this video sooner. This video is my life saver :))
All ladies are awesome

*I use mousse and my hair looks good when I've finished (I'm a guy with short hair), but after a while my hair loses hold & volume and starts fall? Any tips and help would be much appreciated TY*
Angel of Rock use hairspray
Angel of Rock ur hair starts to fall?
Is finish with a strong hold styling cream or a putty. One with thinner texture so to not clump with sturdy enough to hold your heavy, moussed hair :)
Or add a gel after applying the mousse (a year later response but pips can get something from this)
Sunny clouder brisk days I do
Can I apply it with my hair uncombed?
i'm sure u can but if he easier to distribute throughout your hair if u combed it
Yup! I’d recommend doing it uncombed if you want it more curled.
But if you comb it it will be easier to distribute.
......al beautiful ladies😊💕💕💕💕💕
Can i keep the mousse in the fridge because of the heat pls inswear
i have stright hair and i was trying to curl my hair with mousse ^ it didnt work.
did it give you volume?
Thank you because I have no idea what to do with my hair
I have a question. Would this damage my hair if I do this everyday? (even if i use the proper products)
Kind of late but I have been using hair mousse for years now almost every day and it hasn’t damaged mine atleast
What brand would be good for mens long hair?
@@adamwest3637 I’m not super knowledgeable, however when I was talking to my hair stylist about starting to use products such as mousse she says it’s just a lot of trial and error. I’ve got long hair and what I did was, since I know I have very dry hair (I only wash it once a week, 1 in 2 weeks when professionally washed during a cut), I looked for a moisturizing mousse to use. I assume if they have moisturizing ones, they have ones good for oily hair as well- of course I know nothing about what your hair is like.
Is mousse supposed to sizzle in my hands ???
يبببوووويييي 🌞
wait these women are so beautiful and charming
I used the mousse method and my hair felt like straw can you explain why this happened
U probs used too much
The mousse forms a cast so you have to scrunch your hair to break the cast
Can we use straightener after applying mousse ?
I don’t have a hair dryer so I just kinda put it in a bun
my hair is very frizzy almost right after i put a towel to my hair so it’s nearly impossible to get damp hair without waiting it out and i don’t have much time for it is there any solution to this?
no
The solution is don't use a towel and wash when you have time to spare
اسمه يالطيبه؟!!
When I use hair mousse my hair go so hard and rough
you don’t have enough moisture in your hair so the mousse takes all the moisture that was there and makes it hard
Awkwardly paused at 1:11
Lololed at this
ah thank you so much
is it ok to use mousse on my bangs too?
Shiina lmao if u do it with ur Hair u could do it in bangs too
_i have no idea when, why and what my thought process was when i commented this_

2j_commentsong7 lolll duh anti frizz
It’s how to use hair mousse u idiot
It's a tutorial for hair mousse not a 'curl tutorial'.
I can't even tell what this comment is complaining about
Lol yea becuz naturals curls means they will perfectly curl up into shape.
Thanks
