Which scrubs are these? & yes, in my experience, cvicu pressor picks are very different from the other critical care spaces. For instance, Levophed (which works on both alpha & beta receptors & is a first line pressor for sepsis) is prominent in micu/sicu but not so much in cvicu; neo may be a better pick for cardiac pts. PACU on the other hand sees all the pressors
I I thought running note was my idea😂. Also levo increases afterload and there are tons of situations when it’s not a cool drug to give. Phenylephrine also favored in abdominal surgeries post procedure over levo from the last pt I had with bowel perforation.
You should talk about pacing through pacemakers, epicardial wires, transvenous, etc!
