- This has to be the worst restaurant chain in America. This chain has diminished over the last few years in the USA and there’s no wonder I’d say this is America’s Worst Restaurant. The worst place to eat in the USA. Here’s my review and what a rancid horrible excuse for an All American Burger. They should be ashamed! I award it The Worst Restaurant in America.

Damn 20 odd years ago my mum took us here for breakfast and it was fab! I even remember playing a little table game that used pegs im sure we've still got. Such a shame to see it like this 😞
Back in the 80s, Friendly's used to be a great place to eat, but like so many chains (Wendy's, Denny's, Taco Hell, etc..) it's down to the accountants making them buy the cheapest ingredients available and it tastes like it. I'd have told you no to Friendly's,avoid at all costs. And the staff have been horrible for years as well. Must be the corporate culture is rotted.

We always joke about the staff not being very friendly in Friendly's. To be fair though the shakes, ice cream and deserts are pretty good.

Chris Higgets £1 Burger in Blackpool tops that. Maybe that was why the eaterie was empty.

You need to try Cracker Barrel whilst you’re there, very good for breakfast and any other meal you fancy, I always pay them a visit or two when in that area.

You went to a bad Friendly's. I hope management sees this. You don't put ketchup on your burger? You can't eat American burgers without ketchup, that's sacrilege. I don't eat the food at Friendly's but I did when I was a kid. The thing they were known for was the fried clam strips. Most people that go to Friendly's go for the ice cream or the Fribble. I personally think that the Friendly's Fribble is the best shake there is. If you rated the restaurant on their desserts alone, I think you would have given them a 10. When you ate at Friendly's in Pennsylvania was it better? I bet it was.

It was a case of “first come first served”. I actually appreciated the footage of the “empty diner”. I loved the decor too to be fair. So “friendly’s was not so friendly!! Oh the irony!!
I have to say the menu looked impressive!! Like I say, the lay out and interior has everything I expect of “an American eating establishment”. It’s a shame about the food!! Greasy, cold and not very tasty. You couldn’t tell it was a dirty diner hygiene wise from this video? I guess sometimes “looks can be deceiving”. It looked like you wanted to “throw up”!!
Going off this review I will give it a 0.5. The half a mark is based on the place itself. I hope you get to visit a better place with Kelly before you part. You both deserve it!!🙏❤️🥊.x
That meal looked like it came from a van outside an industrial estate. Cheap, straight out of a freezer and it looked awful. I like the fact Kelly has to go with her ‘embarrassing uncle’ to the lousiest joint in town 🤣👍🏻
I've had some amazing industrial estate burgers. Lee needs a new rating scale for the rank food. Compare restraunt burgers to a Rustler microwave burger. Those are knarly 🤣
The burger and fries looks a bit 'blackpool' too. Actually, that £1 burger in blackpool looks a close second lol.
Minus 20. Wouldn't eat it to free. Strawberry, Banana then Vanilla regarding milkshakes.
Top notch waiters do not work at cheaper places like Friendly's. (Less money in tips)
Friendly’s used to be good years ago, now it’s awful just because they pay the lowest to the workers and they can’t get anybody that cares about their job to work there. And a brighter note, a good nickname would be #UKelly! ✌️♥️
Frozen bun, should always be toasted bun. Burger was probably frozen from a bulk pack. Nothing wrong with raw onions on a burger Good to see sauce in a bottle. Service not friendly. Lettuce, tomato and cheese looked ok in the burger. Milkshake good. Price $30 for two, even for USA a bit pricey. I thought it just below average. I would have eaten it as I love any burgers. Place was near empty as it had just opened at 11am. It is a 4 from me.

I used to visit Friendlys in various places in Conneticut and Mass but last couple of years they have gone downhill loads. Some are definately better than others similarly with Dennys it depends on the franchisee

Luckily I've never been there when staying on International Drive. I usually eat at Denny's, Ponderosa or Sizzler for reasonable value. Will definitely avoid now!
Ponderosa and Sizzler have gone from I drive, think there's only one Ponderosa left on the 192

I love Friendly's. They have good ice cream. There burgers are usually pretty good. You must have had a bad cook and bad management.
Hi again Lee, I was in Orlando over Christmas. Normally I rave about American food, however on the mentioned trip I have had some of the worst food I have had in America (The Outback and PF Chang’s excluded). As mentioned I am back on Saturday, please let it be back to normal. I blamed the bad food on Orlando and the restaurants being so busy over Christmas.I have not been in that Friendly’s for years. We used to play golf at Pirates Cove with the in-laws in the evening and the losers paid for ice creams there lol……memories. Go to PF Chang’s Lee. Top vlog again

How can they call the restaurant friendlies. The lighting was poor. The food looked awful. The prices were outrageous. Definitely a 0 out of 10. Stick to pork pies lol. Great video. A lot of places have adjusted their hours and offerings due to, you know, the "current situation", staffing and supply chain issues. I would agree on a 1. Growing up in the States I know Friendly's more as an ice cream place. I haven't been to one in about 40 years, but I am not surprised.
Supply chain issues shouldn't affect the quality of the product offering. You could just order less of something but still make good with what you've got.
All this seems to reek of is penny pinching and increasing profit margins to recoup "current situation" losses.
The milkshake may have tasted OK, but it was presented unimaginatively. A restaurant is about presentation of food, not solely taste.
Good to see warm weather!!.. great job..I will say this I lived in the Miami area for 11 years ..the overall service in restaurants hotels wherever is notoriously poor..and I haven’t been to Friendly‘s in a while but it looks like that chain needs a major makeover !!..Overall good job.Your niece did a good job as well!!..say hello to the palm trees for me !!

That was not good Lee and I-Drive looks like it is struggling.
Just cancelled a week in the Palazzo in Las Vegas and 10 days in St Pete Beach in Florida.
Why? I could just about live with the flight costs, however the car rental rates, over there have gone mental.
We usually pay around £300 for 14 days (£22-£25/day) now Alamo, Avis, Dollar, Hertz, Thrifty etc are charging £1,100 - £1,400 for regular cars for 14 days!!
Gutted, but will have to wait.

I’ve been going to Orlando since 1990 and I’m happy to say I’ve never been to friendly’s the burger looked absolutely atrocious. If you want a lovely burger in Orlando try Beth’s burger bar at Lake cay shops on Universal Boulevard and there’s also the best pizza restaurant in Florida next to it called NYPD pizza definitely try them out you’ll love them 😜👍🏻

Yes Lee it didn't look over friendly at all. Try Denny's if they still have them there. It was always our go to when we went to Florida.
That burger patty looked like it belonged in a McDonalds days old hamburger.
Probably recommend Perkins up the street on Sand Lake for breakfast. Friendly's is better known locally for their ice cream. I've not had a good burger at Friendly's since I was a kid. Much older now.
Very Fair revue - the beef burger was a frozen 1/4ib supermarket purchased - not all American that's for sure!

Hi Lee, to start. Any Restaurant on International Drive is hit or miss In Orlando. The Friendly Chain went into Chapter 11 bankruptcy about 10 year’s ago. In 2021 an investment group bought the Company. So it only a matter of time before they go . The Chain was huge in the 1980s mainly in malls but they expanded to free standing location s the one I used to frequent on Madison ave Morristown NJ has closed 10 years ago. That explains everything! Used to be a popular chain on the East cosast So sad . By the way your niece is losing her accent Mine is gone take care
May I add Friendly's market's Ice cream in containers at supermarkets. They used to promote I believe 22 flavors of ice cream before they started food service, Not sure if the Friendly's ice cream is even associated with them anymore? If so, that's what's keeping the company afloat?
Lee I just started watching this and I'm going to tell you it was a good thing the one in pa was closed & this on should be closed for good , the one we use to go had closed down many years back . It's not friendly & it's not good , service slow . 29? For that crap .

You know Lee I'm wondering what has happened to the fast food scene in the U.S. The quality of the food seems to be going down the pan, the prices are outrageous and even the portions are small.....? Whenever I have been in the states I have always been blown away by the friendly service, quality of food and great value that all the "casual family dining" places offered..... not anymore it seems.... A lot has happened in the 5 years since I've been there and it all looks pretty bad to me....... :-(
Keith I'm a British expat in america. Prices have rocketed in all areas. Food especially. Because of Lee's vlogs. I check my receipts for service charges.

I definitely prefer the southern end of I-Drive to north of Sand Lake. I wasn’t impressed with the slow service at friendlys neither.

Nailed it by saying it was like a Birds Eye burger. Can’t even get something as easy as a burger right - not a good sign. Food like that shows why McDonalds make millions.

i had the homestyle turkey dinner there a few year ago was nice. but the server was literally in his 80s !
