    Wow lol, u can tell Dane was reluctant to like it but he actually nothing really bad to say. I personally think he looked really good on it, not sure about how much spray he got if that's a concern but the speed at which he was moving and his turns looked really sharp.

      Your concerned that he didn't generate spray? What's next, disappointment that he doesn't do wet hair flicks.

    Matt, it seems to me that all these shapers are making unique boards that in the end everyone who surfs them says, including myself, it ended up feeling like a thruster. So why go through all the motions of trying to be so different but end up right back where Simon Anderson left off? Yes I shape. 20+ yrs 36+ yrs Surfing. Sunset Cliffs, San Diego. Steve Lis's illegitimate son. By way of nic name. All comments welcome

    I was under the impression that on asym boards the long side was for backhand?

      no, typically the longer straighter rail is toeside and the shorter curvier rail (in the tail) is heal side... some shapers like Donald Brink do a lot more asymmetric than outline and fin but I don't know about Matt's designs. All that said, Josh Kerr apparently likes the longer rail on the bottom turn side (more drive) so he likes a different asym for frontside vs backside {based on comments in a podcast}
