In this video, I show a step by step installation of the HRG Offroad 1.5 inch lift kit on a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend. The installation took about 2.5 hours and came out great! This procedure is exactly the same for the Badlands and First Edition models.
    Time stamps:
    1:00 front strut removal
3:52 attaching spacer to front strut
    6:00 re-installing front strut
    8:30 installing camber bolt
    9:45 installing brake line spacer
    12:00 rear spring removal
    13:23 installing rear spring spacer
    15:00 installing trailing arm spacers
    17:45 walkaround after the lift
18:17 Finished Lifted Bronco Sport with 245/65/17 BFGoodrich KO2 tires

I like the way you are explaining ever single step with normal ever day English and also that if you make a mistake you say it. Thank you for making videos for regular DIY guys.

I have the badlands and love it a lot, with all options. I don’t care about the fuel. It tow my enclosed 4x6 full very easily and still accelerate like a sport car with the trailer. Smile. On highway during my 3500km trip i averaged 9l/100km. In city i can use the eco mode from time to time but most of the time i am in normal mode. I like having all the options and the color orange cyber is very nice. I also installed a brake controller and 7 pin plug. We had to cut a bit the back plastic to put the rounded 7 pin and i have a converter to 4 pins. Controller is installed just above the brake on the dash. I installed a loadwarrior roof rack. I got a lot of compliments. People come to me to said the Bronco is very nice.

Looking to save some money by trading my ram 1500 rn and I’ve only seen outerbank videos so it’s nice to see the smaller engine type moded. I don’t off-road as much as I use to so a good in between is what I’m looking for and this might be it.

Since that top bolt on the shock has a lobe how and I supposed to know what orientation to put it in?

    • @spyder000069
      @spyder000069 Před rokem

Initially it would be a guess. The spacer is going to cause the top of the tire to bow out. The camber bolt is to correct that and pull the top of the tire in. So initially put the bolt in where its centered and then rotate it until the top of the tire comes in some. It doesn't need to be 100% accurate as its only temporary until you go to a alignment shop and have a professional realign the front end which is pretty much always necessary otherwise you will have poor tire wear and could have other issues long term.

I saw on your website that you have a version of this lift kit for Badlands/First Edition. I’ve got a BL and want to lift it but none of the other lift kits from other companies are compatible with the BL/FE. Do you have a video on that one or can you explain how that one works? I haven’t looked under my BL yet to see how it is lifted from the factory… is it just from the suspension or is there a stock lift/leveling kit already?

The badlands/First Edition have different shocks and springs than the BB/OB. The springs are slightly longer and also use a hydraulic rebound stops. Source: media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2021/08/20/high-performance-off-road-stability-suspension.html

Ok be honest I have no experience working on cars. I know my way around tools tho. Can the average Joe do this easy or should I just honestly pay someone to do it for me? Which of course not sure how much it would cost if any idea please let me know but just seem intimidating to me.
