- Destiny 2: The Final Shape was officially revealed today in the Final Shape Showcase event! But how does it stack up? Are the signs looking positive? Today Byf discusses his thoughts on what Bungie told us about the narrative for this new expansion that concludes the Light and Dark Saga. Honestly, Hive Witch Eris terrifies me. She is almost exactly the person she became in The Dark Timeline but, instead of allying with Xivu Arath, she's fighting against her.
Especially with how fast she adapted and grew comfortable to the sword logic. We're going to need some big readjustments to the plan or this isn't going to have a happy ending.

Another interesting point to go with your note on the word choice of Cayde as our “Virgil”, and your question of whether we’d be seeing Heaven or Hell. If I’m not mistaken, they actually compared the starting point of the Tower as Heaven-like, and the ending point of the Monolith as a sort of Hell. So it does seem the Dante references are quite intentional.

I do think it’s interesting that we’re going backwards journey wise. Dante started in Hell and went to purgatory and then to heaven.
We’re in reverse.

I thought the “Vergil” wording referenced Halo 3: ODST, where the AI, VRGL, guided the player throughout the abandoned mega city (the games setting)

@@ArkoriusGhaul Virgil has previously been referred to in-universe, by Toland the Shattered. So it is much more likely connected to Dante. As would that AI’s name.
I feel the campaign is gonna be a storm the tower where every little area reveals details about the destination we are in. Like the 14th wish in the dreaming city for example

No chance without high noon and vicarious vision working on the destination and it's going to be linear so your gonna get alot of nostalgia to pad out the area. Levels will not feel very big and it won't be a long campaign atall. There's no chance this will be dreaming city levels of big. Your barely going to get witch queen levels of secrets
I'm guessing that the Witness is going to work similarly to how Oryx worked in the Taken King expansion. The end of the campaign will feature a boss fight against the Witness where we defeat him temporarily and stop him from enacting the Final Shape, but the Raid is where we fight him at full power to kill him for good.
Joe say that everybody and not only raid player but also casu would be able to fight the X (Witness) in the raid, maybe he refer to LFG but i think i refer to another thing not announce yet maybe a PVE mission along side the raid where casu can fight the witness idk just ann idea.
now i can kinda see how Eris managed to become the big bad boss even above Savathun in one of Elsie's timeline loop jumps. i would love to see her appearance grow more and more with time in future seasons to show how much she has been being fed with fury by guardians.

I think our Light, channeled through the Acolyte Staff is the substitute, so she could potentially change back afterwards.
I think my absolute favorite part of this reveal is how brilliant the premise of S22's story is. We've been tithing to xivu for years now, simply by fighting her hive. How do you fight a god who becomes stronger every time you clash with her? I thought it would be by wholeheartedly embracing the gentle city ringed in spears ideology, staying ever on thr defense and never directly fighting her to starve her of tribute. But no. No no no. We're making our *OWN* hive war god to tithe to. Actually brilliant
By standing on plates, calling out symbols, and teamshotting with Rockets.
Also, devs confirmed the gentle ringed kingdom thing is a lie and so was the Wager, Flower Game, and everything in the Book of Unveiling. It was all fanatical propaganda and there's no Winnower either 🫠
My guess about the "Virgil" thing, is that because The Pale Heart is "Linear", like a typical story, such as the Divine Comedy. I think it'll be the reverse order of the Divine Comedy, where in it it goes Inferno-Purgatorio-Paradiso, rather it'll go Paradiso-Purgatorio-Inferno since the destination becomes more dangerous (hellish) as we progress. Which reminds me of the Heaven/Hell location in Prophecy, which the order of the words being Heaven then Hell feels deliberate, as well as the boss room resembling the Traveler with the Triangle Portal on it.

Also Virgil is not a guide in paradise, he's there just for hell and purgatory. Probably won't mean anything tho because Virgil is usually used to indicate a general guide in a journey.

I feel like at the end of the campaign we might destroy the Witness's physical form and then in the raid they will have become a being of pure darkness. Sort of what Ghaul became at the end of the red war.

Nah you'll free the traveler and then have to finally end the witness once and for all. Doing the same thing as ghaul would be cheap and lazy way to end destiny
I really hope the Io section in the inside of the Traveler is a desert environment. It would be such a cool easter egg. For those who don’t know, the Pyramidion on Io was originally planned to be a location on Mars for a cut Destiny 1 expansion. You can see it in the background of the crucible map Crossroads.

If we beat the witness they better be ridiculously creative because I don’t see us beating the witness without breaking all logic.
Against Crota we had to shattered his way into the physical world while he was making the transfer, leaving him super weak and incomplete. Still eris needed to fully guide us and we needed the sword and 5 other guardians to even have a chance.
Against Oryx we broke his tithing system and his worm consumed him. We killed Crota which starved him of tribute and then we kept killing the rest of his Court. By the time we fought him in the raid, he was on his deathbed. Even then we did very little direct damage to Oryx. We killed him by setting off massive explosions of corrupted Light. So we technically drew upon a much greater resivoir of power when we fought him, much greater than our own. Even after that we needed a whole raid, guardians getting us on the dreadnaught and a lot of lucky to pull it off.
Xol let us kill him and we needed the power of Rasputin. Rhulk didn’t take us serieus at all and could have wiped us a million time until we used the upended as our own power was worthless against him. Nezarec only held a fraction of the power he used to hold before his death and he was just testing his new powers like a curious scientist rather than focus on fighting us.
The witness thought of all of them as fodder, and that fodder at the peak of their powers thought of us as fodder. the amount of tiers we are below the witness by lore is like not countable on 2 hands.
This is exactly what i was thinking… how will they fit the lore and the gameplay together? How will we beat the great witness ?
Though i assume the traveler will obviously have a role in all this . We would never stand a chance against the witness 💀. As u said rhulk could have wiped us easily and nezerac with full power is indestructible. So with the witness’s cleverness and sheer power. What will happen?

@@farsoso_350 If I have to guess it will be something like the witness acting the same as during the collapse and just ignores us as we are just that insignificant to it. Combined with the entire traveler helping. Attacking at a point in time where she is most vulnerable or after she used a lot of her power in something etc. Then maybe help form other outside forces like eris with her new power and Mara etc. But we still would need a shit ton of luck and help on all sides. And even after all of that it might still not feel like a realistic outcome.
@@farsoso_350, Or perhaps people need to temper their expectations and realize that the gameplay limits their options on how to handle the boss fight. If you keep setting the bar too high, expecting lore and gameplay to perfectly match up, and you’ll set yourself up for disappointment.
I can see the reality-bending in the Pale Heart being the key to beating it. We can use our imagination and willpower to level the playing field against The Witness. In Raids we are normally running around depowering the enemy in some way. But I think it would be cool if this time we would powering up ourselves. This is the realm of light and we are chosen by it
Agreed, but the fact of the matter is I don't believe we will be fighting The Witness alone.
I strongly believe that within the Pale Heart is the Traveler's "pilot" or "avatar" of sorts that is fighting back against The Witness.
Think about it, why hasn't the Witness won right now? Why have we not seen the outside universe start to warp and conform into The Final Shape? What is taking this superancient, gestalt god of finality so long?
Not just that, remember the prophecy wall within Vow Of The Disciple. It states "The Witness, Kill, ????" with a missing symbol.
I believe that missing symbol is aforementioned pilot/avatar of the Traveler. A god like being we'll fight alongside to defeat The Witness.
At first I was a bit underwhelmed, but the more I watched and reflected on it, the more hype I got! Can't wait for Final Shape!

I think the most interesting part about Eris is her apparent title. She has taken the mantle of being the Hive God of Revenge. This would put Xivu into a situation similar to the one we are currently in given her whole conquest is motivated by a very strong lust for revenge for both Oryx, and Savathun.
So Xivu can't fight her without making her stronger.. this gonna be some infinite fight bs...

The most encouraging thing I heard from the showcase was "Linier Campaign". That means they can focus the narrative experience down to the simplest, and hopefully strongest, form. We'll have to see about what they do with the story within that narrative structure, but I feel like if you're telling an important story you need that kind of structure.
Also, something I noticed during the pre-show cut scene countdown was the value of a "set the table" scene (I'm calling it that because in Destiny those scenes mostly take place around or near a table). It's a scene where the stakes are clearly laid out. Here's what's happened, here's what we have to do, here's what happens if we fail. My favorite expansions have them, the not so great ones, don't.
the time line missions are a really cool concept and i like the way they delivered the prison break mission, but there needs to be more of them not just one mission. i want to be able to fully experience all of the missions in each expansion

They do said that they will be “expanded” mission, not just the normal one, but I presume that in time they’ll add back the other ones as well, just not during TFS.
They won't as long as their expansions still exist imo. This would be the perfect time to make those expansions free and the timeline missions are how you access them

We definitely need one from Red War, hopefully either the one on the almighty or the one where we fight ghaul.
So im gonna throw a theory down here about Cayde. What if he’s a light version of Cayde but not the real one? Everytime out Guardian loses or gains the light there’s a light after image that literally mimics our movement. And that one lore entry about the Ghost whose Guardian got stuck in a trap and can’t be revived. What if the inside of the traveler generates new guardians? Like we are destroyed and rebuilt. Alot like how titans are created in aot, starting out in out universe, and being transferred over to another.
So this new Cayde is just one that couldn’t be reborn. So he’s stuck inside the Traveler. Maybe thats where all Guardians who die appear, as spectral ghosts that exist inside the Pale Heart.
Just a theory but I want Cayde’s return to either be temporary or come with a catch. I don’t wanna betray the mourning of Forsaken.
Pretty sure he will only exist within the Pale Heart. He still doesn’t have a ghost.
I think Cayde is a projection of the traveler. I think it's using his form to help us

Here’s the thing that I keep thinking of is… how do we react as guardians when the universe is reshaped? Being paracausal entities, could we resist it? If the light still exists and we still have our ghosts, can we reject the changes?
It’s going to be interesting to see.
Paracausality won't exist. Existence will be collapsed and frozen. Light and Dark will merge and become an isolated outerversal force that the Witness completely controls and uses to keep everything in one state.
Maybe that's the plan for post final shape. The witness wins and the universe gets all screwed up so we can play around in it
Cautiously optimistic about episodes. I really like them reducing the content drop rate to hopefully improve quality compared to seasons. The sketchy part is the suggestion that you can play them in any order you want, which seems to contradict the claim that they will have very impactful stories. If they don't have a concrete order then they must not have broad reaching impacts on the wider world of Destiny.
Think of it not like a mainline story similar to current DLC, but as their own story. Final Shape is the closing to a large story, and episodes are supposed to be separate tales about the aftermath. Like a "here's what's going on with these guys."
It sounds similar to a season but holds up on their own. Where seasons usually dealt with the current or future story.
Most likely the episodes are not connected to each other, basically a standalone story each one.

6:45 I want to point out, as it wasn't mentioned, the subjugators bear a lot of resembelence to Rhulk (the legs are identical to Rhulks.) So theyre probably based off him especially if Rhulk was known as the Subjugator.

@@Khqrabungie a been on the hold my beer approach in armor design, in the last 3 seasons, they’ve made some of the best sets in the franchise, Oryx set for one, but cowboy gear and seraph gear was dope too.
I missed the Red War and it was so damn frustrating when i first started playing literally the week after the sunset and realized i missed out.

I think it’s going to be very good. Linear level inside the tracker sounds kind of cool. It sounds different and we desperately need different in destiny.

There’s only really one Lucent Hive I care to include and that’s Fynch and his Lightbearer Ken. And that only being by virtue of his Ghost.
I honestly think that the hinted red subclass will be part of Echoes because its also included within base Final Shape, and not part of the Annual Pass or the filler campaign between the Destiny Sagas.

Alongside the Eris morn hive god situation, I like the idea that some hive turn to Eris due to her being human hive, I’m not sure if they’d be able to tell unless they met her but my point is many hive (particularly Xivus brood) were mad at the fact no one claimed the Taken Kings place after we killed him as it goes against the sword logic. So this human become hive has stepped into the limelight, the hive may look at her and see her as this new king, maybe not 100% but someone has finally stepped up to the plate to turn it into 3 separate hive broods again. Just an idea
I am right there on the cautiously optimistic page with Byf. The trailer was amazing; the trailers are always amazing. The art and music are sweeping and emotional. I badly want them to deliver on this; both for us and for them. It's rare in this day and age you get to tell a 10+ year story and see it through. Also, Witch Eris is the best thing they've done in a while. If you haven't, go read some of the lore tabs on the armor and weapons for this season in the collection; it gives us a few different takes on her metamorphosis from other characters.
Timeline Reflections is finally the thing to get me playing again. I’ve been following your channel and the story for years without playing because I missed out on sunset content. Now I have incentive to play again.
It’s only 3 missions, and they are very cut up. Which makes them kinda short

There's a decent chance it is; the three Episodes following Final Shape are colored Red, Blue, and Green, in order, with Echoes, the red Episode, dropping around the same time as Final Shape. Also, the preorder exotic, Tessellation, which can fire any element, has a barrel made up of glass shards of six colors: orange, purple, light blue, dark blue, green, and a pinkish red. Five of those correlate to existing elements. Here's hoping

"RED DEATH" was the first exotic I ever received in D1. I revered that weapon. I remember how sad I was when D2 vanilla took it out of my possession. And also how I loved having crimson as a call back to it. As a solar warlock main, and hearing that it is coming back AS a solar weapon... I feel seen and I almost got emotional. Lol

Bro.. I cannot describe enough how every time I fall out of love with Destiny, hearing Byf talk about it just makes me INTERESTED regardless, and on multiple occasions made me get back into it
I just watch from a distance as even tho I enjoy the story of destiny, the game has left a bad taste that would only disappoint just like many times before.
Could this have been the turning point for Eris becoming overtaken by the darkness in the other “dark timelines” that The Exo Stranger has lived?
The timeline reflections are really cool. I just did Cayde's death mission and Ikora's narration and explanation was fantastic
I'm already loving that they're including lore bits about Elsie being furious at and scared of Eris's transformation because of the Dark Future lore
Eris has been walking that line since she was introduced, I can totally see her getting turned over to xivus side briefly and we pull her back. She's tough but not infallible, and there's been a significant focus on not fighting your battles alone
Byf, once again, precisely defines exactly how I feel about the Showcase.

I want to believe, but at this point we need some actual delivery to rebuild trust.

Been watching for a long time. Glad you got recognition from Bungie directly. No one deserves it more than you Byf!
I have two very small pieces that don't amount to much aside from making me happy.
(1) I like that the trailer did something different with guardian armor than we've ever gotten. We've had "The Guardian" trailers that just show your character in the latest season's armor, and we had "Fireteam" trailers that just show one Hunter, one Titian, and one Warlock in the latest season's armor. This one had at least a dozen guardians wearing a few of the last year's armor sets (at least), plus a trials titian and an iron banner hunter. Little bit of detail that made me feel like the vanguard is actually pulling in *everyone* for this.
(2) As a Void Titian main, I am SOOO happy we are getting something that isn't ANOTHER roaming super. (plus being the Oprah of "you get an axe, and you get an axe!" is dope)
Every game with a story needs a byf! Unreal what you are able to find and tell in such an understandable way.
I'm looking forward to the new subclasses but also a little annoyed that subclasses with 2-3 supers are getting new ones while stasis and strand are stuck with just one..
I hope eris gets her own hive brood imagine her claiming CROTAS THRONEWORLD the very place she lost everything she now rules over. That would be absolutely amazing
I think for the raid maybe after the first completion another mission might be unlocked for everyone where we finish of the witness in a straight up fight with either simple or no mechancs. It would be cool if there was a 12 guardian matchmade fight against the witness
Adding on to my point the dev said that we are fighting the witness in the raid but "that might not be enough" eluding to something after the raid

I dont know if it's just me, but all of this remind me a lot about The Dark Tower by Stephen King.
The whole thing about a long journey toward this dark monument in the far distance in order to save the universe.
Hey Byf do you think the pyramid ships have clone labs after all the tormentors are Nezarec clones and these new subjugator enemy type are basically Rhulk clones. Since Osiris did said about the tormentors of the alliance of Callus and the Witness, and Callus shadow legion is Cabal clones if I remember right

I'm so glad to hear the witness is in the raid. I would be painful to me if they just had us just savathun him at the end of the campaign.
Eris the hive god has me asking questions because as far as we know she’s broken a very important part of how to make a hive: she hasn’t consumed a worm larvae, meaning that she straight up will have the power other hive gods have with the need to tithe to satiate her worm.
I really hope that they talk about how Eris is probably doing the same thing that she did in Elsie Bray’s timeline which caused the end of the world. That caused her to win for the darkness and turn Savathun into her puppet.
But now, she’s on our side. Doing it for better reasons.
Still a great place for angst
Honestly hyped for gameplay and narrative. Obviously follow-through is important, but I'm a fan of everything I saw. Give me one more Darkness class at some point and I'll be over the moon.
I read the leaks. If they are right then we do get another darkness subclass after the witness is defeated. Maybe they just want to really keep this one hush hush and just let us discover it. Rather than show off.
Give me more darkness supers, getting a bit stale with just one each. But yes, otherwise wholeheartedly agree.
The part where they said that you don't have to do the raid to "finish" the story makes me think that we are gonna get a cutscene or some sort of epilogue mission after the day1 is done

From what I know, I believe that it was stated that Rhulk was the last of his species, so these “Subjagator” are most likely clones of him.
I was about to say the same thing too! When I first saw them, I immediately thought of Rhulk.
Currently Eris transforms only for the rituals, she is not locked in her state, but Ikora fears that might become permanent if she keeps going that way. I actually want Eris to accept it and stick with it with support from Drifter. He could asure her that if she feels like that is the right decision to make for future prospect of the humanity and she feels comfortable and in control of it, she has his and everyone's trust to do so. And so they persuade Ikora to accept and she becomes a permanent Hive God. That would be beautiful catalyst to her story.
I would have liked them doing a timeline reflection for the red war. Whether it was the first mission or the one where you recovered your light. I think those are important parts of the story as well. Though it is a bit more on the personal side

The dark timeline only exists to show us what could've been. We are beyond looking to it for glimpses of future content.
Yes Eris becoming evil happened but we know bungies track record, if they do decide to make her evil it'll be after the final shape and probably an attempt to draw older players back in
I am soooo looking forward to final shape, I liked the story LightFall began as a set up as the conclusion is too big to just end on one campaign.
Also, for the season after Witch, I think we are going back to Neptune as it will be focused on the Veil, which I think it is necessary to talk more about somethings about the Cabal and such if they are going to be focused on.
They needed to have some extra cinematic dialogue or just to be slightly more specific about the seasons in between, just to connect it across "we plundered the reef for relics of nezarec to cure Osiris" "we sought solutions with rasputin that ultimately resulted in his death" "we confronted the vanguards nightmares and came out more resolute in ours cause". And i hadnt played seasons before Haunted, but its all one sentence stuff
But mainly, would actually tie everything together a little tighter narratively in the "timeliness space"

Get your hands on kept confidence and have a look at the lore tab. It's from drifters perspective regarding her transformation but doesn't give too much away about how he actually feels about it. Hopefully there's more.
I personally am holding judgement for now. As much as I am excited for what's coming, I do fear that that could be just the early hype not wearing off. Like, as much as I enjoyed Lightfall, I can understand the fans' grievances. I want to keep saying I enjoyed it, but it feels difficult when there are so many people being SO negative about the game right now that it gets difficult to what I KNOW I like vs the influence of everyone else.
It just gets a little loud sometimes.

I wonder if the raid will work like Last Wish and Deep Stone Crypt did in terms of the story for everyone. Beating those raids opened up newer story beats and changed the destination for everyone

I was hoping for a new darkness subclass, you can only rework a subclass so many times, and they have done that to our light powers more then enough. We need another darkness subclass. The new enemies look like miniature versions of Rhulk. We also be burned by The Final Shape.
I don't have a problem with them having more ideas with our light subclasses. If the ideas can shake things up and provide enough variety, I'm good. A new darkness subclass can cook for longer, I'm okay with that
Also, it allows the story of the campaign to NOT focus on the power we obtain, and moreso on an actual story about the characters to make us invested
For the amount of money players put in, I would hope we get our money’s worth with new supers AND a new subclass. I just hope it’s not campaign related and we can get it afterwards.
Honestly the thing I can’t stop thinking about is the ribcage/arm/potential centipede monster. I’ve gotta guess that’s the true or inner form of the Witness, billions of sentient life forms fused into one cosmically horrifying being. I also assume that’s what the Witness showed Calus to absolutely terrify him in lightfall. I wonder if perhaps that’s his final stand form or something, or perhaps the bipedal form we see is simply a projection. I’m definitely hoping they go full cosmic horror, and maybe that’s the final form of the Witness we have to defeat in the raid. Would love to hear your input on it down the line, although I know that’s a ton of conjecture on my part from just a handful of frames.

In the Divine Comedy Virgil was only able to accompany Dante through hell and purgatory since he predated Christian belief, so I'm wondering about how they're going to be positioning Cayde. If he will truly be a Virgil figure through only a "hellish" (edit: and purgatorial) portion of the game or if he will be a guiding figure throughout the Final Shape. Idk though lol
Virgil was also the guide of Purgatory. He only left Dante at the end of it, in the Eden. So maybe he will be present only after we left the “good” part of the pale heart, the one near the portal. But honestly I don’t know how faithful they’ll be to the Divina commedia lmao.

Omg, the Virgil reference, you're right! It felt oddly significant when I first heard it in the showcase, and now thinking about the implications of such an analogy, having Cayde there makes more sense. Thinking of the Pale Heart as a paracausal afterlife space is actually really intriguing.

I’m guessing they will do something similar with the Witness that they did with Oryx as far as concluding the story with and without doing the raid. You beat them in the campaign and that could potentially be a conclusion for you, but you also have them in raid for further conclusion. That way the non-raiders have at least something, but there’s still a satisfying level of difficulty in fighting the ultimate foe in the raid.

My theory is that when we try to ressurect Savathûn, Xivu is going to show up to try and stop it and end up killing Eris, it would be an effective way to remove an ally that could potentually be too powerful, and show that Xivu is a force to be reckonned with.

19:37 For me in lightfall, I could tell something was wrong with the narrative even within the first few minutes. Especially once the veil came into focus, I was left feeling confused and that I had skipped something. That nagging feeling grew throughout the campaign as well as being compounded by the other issues the narrative suffered.
Whilst I find Eris' change concerning, I trust her. She's not steered us wrong so far and she'll have my backing.
What if it's a trick by savathun? By allowing eris to be a strong enough and then possess her or something like that?
The moment I saw her changed.. well I think we may lose Eris, is she gonna want to change back? What if She gets corrupted and becomes the enemy, I really hope it goes somewhere

During the showcase when the season of the witch trailer played and you just hear Eris chant "aiat" over and over gave me crazy chills
These new supers look so cool. I love the idea of us being able to directly aid each other in ways besides throwing down rifts and shields or using specific weapons like Lumina. There's just something so cinematic about setting my fireteam's guns ablaze or picking up an axe thrown by a titan.
The exotic armor lore tabs are exactly how they were last season: One super interesting one, and two absolute stinkers

Throwing it out there, but I'm guessing that you discover during the campaign that the Witness has fully corrupted the Light, and our only choice is to destroy the part of the Traveler that generates it, leaving only what Light exists in our Guardians. It could be that actually ends up being the raid.
Once that's done, a final mission would unlock for everyone where we actually take down the Witness, who becomes the Darkness itself.
I dont know man, with how much everyone is anticipating a new Subclass it seems almost like an omission by design here. There is a prominent Red sigil painted on some of the architecture (I think the Pyramid structures) in the Pale Heart, which could just be a coincidence but I think Bungie knows by now that we are expecting the final Darkness subclass with this expansion.
I am holding out hope that they're just keeping it close to the vest right now because maybe it isn't ready for primetime yet. I feel like they can't possibly be stupid enough to think they can satisfy the playerbase with 3 new supers, after the mess that Lightfall was. This is the kind of thing they really need to be clear about ahead of time: "No New Subclass" was not said at any point in time (that I'm aware of), which absolutely needs to be said ahead of time if it is true.
They also didn't say anything about a new subclass anywhere leading up to the showcase.
Right, but when a company who was recently the recipient of billions of dollars has to make statements about being "worried about overdelivering"... if they have the foresight to be worried about "over delivering" then they should have the foresight to know what the community is expecting, and know to manage expectations. They have done none of that either way, which is troubling.

I hopped into Witch before watching this. Witch is literally what I have been craving. As for Final Shape, I pre-ordered Lightfall, I am not sure I will be pre ordering Final Shape. I will have to see how I feel after Witch and the next season.

@KoncealedCinema we didn't get hardly any information about Strand until near the end of the year BEFORE Lightfall, and even then it wasn't really fully revealed until like a month before the expansion launch. Yes, they are holding back. They always do with these summer showcases. They throw enough out there to get the hype and conversations going we get through the remaining seasons, and just before the new expansion, we get a huge info dump of the rest of the stuff to come, along with a mini road map for the seasons within the expansion. If you really think this was everything, then idk what to tell you.
@cryxbaby2250 I mean the only time I've honestly been underwhelmed so far, was with this Lightfall campaign, and just the campaign. Mainly because it was a narrative mess, and ended with more questions than answers (which we mostly eventually got). Outside of that, I've kept my expectations leveled. I know I'm going to play through the seasonal stories at the very least, and once I'm done with those, I'll either A) keep playing because I'm having fun, or B) get mid season burnout, and go play something else until the next season.
