It's too bad because they were filming him from the waist up a lot on the more provocative dance stuff because there had been a big backlash to some of his early television performances. One that you would love checking out is on the Milton Burle TV show I think it's in the spring or maybe June or something of 1956 so I know that for sure.
It was a popular variety show on one of the networks and for some reason they decided to take a chance with Elvis and his version of hound dog on there set the world on fire. And be careful when you look for it because there's a shorter version that cuts out the most controversial part of it which is when it goes to halftime after what turns out to be a false ending because Elvis Just extended it on his own intuition. He was known for being super unpredictable and that just gave me even more time and room to do his crazy dance moves then. He's going up on his toes with his legs bent and just using core strength to hold it for a while but it's always in and outrageous pose and it was just fire. I know you would love it.
