Only one member is different. There are only 5 members. The former bass is Avi, the new one is Matt. Great reaction!

The new guys name is Matt, and he replaced Avi in the bass position after avi left the group for personal reasons. If you want to hear their individual voices really shine I would check out hallelujah, the sound of silence, Mary did you know, and imagine. (Kevin, the beatboxer, sings in Mary did you know and imagine If you’re curious!!)
Yes Scott and Mitch are gay. Kirstin is latina and the trio is from Texas. If you want to hear more from her she has a solo album and she shines in Say Something and Rather Be. Loved the reaction!
After watching your 1st reaction to PTX, they do have a similar style video of an original song called Love Again. Not too many reactors watch many videos of their originals. And Kirstie, Scott and Kevin do have quite a few of their own solo projects and collabs. So much to dive into from the group!

Been enjoying your PTX reactions. The members do work on side projects and have their own channels. Kirsten did a solo album. Scott has done various collaborations (check out his duet with ROZZI called Lose Us). Keven does work on his channel which is amazing, he sings, beatboxes, plays cello and using loops puts them all together live to do amazing things. Mitch and Scott have a channel called Superfruit where they do skits, amusing concept songs (for example taking hip hop lyrics and setting them to broadway tunes - hilarious and watch to the end for bloopers), covers and medleys and they also released two EPs of original songs. Avi Kaplan (the white guy with beard and low voice from the first video) is now doing solo work. He left amicably for personal and family reasons and even helped the group find his replacement before he left.
You also mentioned rap and of course Pentatonix is primarily a pop band but they have a couple covers that include rap sections if you’re interested, _Can’t’ Hold Us_ by Macklemore and _Problem_ by Ariana Grande.
Mitch is technically a countertenor which means he can sing higher than many women. Everyone in Pentatonix has a lot of voice training in addition to their insane level of natural talent, but Mitch started voice lessons at a young age. Kirsten is a mezzo-soprano which means she has more resonance in the lower end of her range. Mitch usually takes the super high notes.
Kirsten Maldonado (Kirstie) has her own channel with her solo music. As far as her leading songs in Pentatonix, Rather Be and Say Something as well as Shallow really showcase her and her vocals.

The three main vocalists Kirstie, Mitch and Scott have known each other since childhood. They have been singing together since high-school. P.S. Scott and Mitch are not a couple, just best friends.

Scott (blond guy in the middle) actually has a high range as well but Mitch and Kirstie rule it. Also you should react to their cover of New Rules x Are You That Somebody.
Scott has a wide range; he often covers the bass line (not the lowest notes, obviously) when the bass (Avi or Matt, depending on era) has actual lyrical lines to sing, and can get up into the lower half of tenor range (aka second tenor parts in music, so not the really high notes)
I love how diverse they are! Want to hear matt sing (the bass) check out their version of grinch. His bass blew me away in new rules x are you that somebody. Kevin (beat boxer) has a channel called "KO" highly recommend checking out his song "down". Absolutely amazing. Kirstie takes leads in "come along" "can you feel the love tonight" "shallow" and "same something". Of course she has more leads but those are some of my favorites

I'm pretty sure that Scott is a huge fan too--he once said in an interview that the first time he encountered her (at the Grammy Awards) that he had a major fangirl moment.

The guy beat-boxing, Kevin, does sing. Check out their covers of Imagine, Mary Did You Know, and Little Drummer Boy, as well as their original song, "Sing" (which has some celebrity cameos).
Thanks for another PTX reaction. There is so much to hear in their library. The pentaholics will fill you in on everything you need to know for sure! Please do their version of Gold and Shallow where Kirstie takes a big lead role in and Kevin (the beatboxer) plays cello while beatboxing.
PTX, for short, has 5+ billion YT views and 18+ million subs. My experience has been that they are one of the most "rabid" and devoted fanbases around, yet they are the most friendly and compassionate groups I have encountered.
I believe you are correct in your assumptions/questions. Avi kaplan went solo. You should check out his song “change on the rise”. It’s awesome. Legit.

One change the bass Matt and he has been there for 3 years. And a man cannot be a soprano by definition Mitch is a tenor. Everybody sings Kevin the beatboxer is a tenor as well.
I'm also a Kirstie fan. She has her own channel (kirstin), and released an EP of original songs called L O V E ... songs: "Break a Little", "All Night", "Bad Weather", "Naked", and a couple others that don't have videos.

Personally, I like the acoustic version a little better because it's more stripped down with just her voice, a guitar, a bass, and a keyboard and her singing just stands out more.
Pentatonix songs where she really shines are "Say Something", "Rather Be", "Water", and "Shallow". She has major solos in several others as well.

Mitch is a counter tenor (kind of like the male version of a soprano), which makes his voice very high. Scott and Mitch are both gay, but being gay doesn't affect how high your voice is. Anyway, nice reaction!
I definitely agree I don't think of anything when it comes to dealing with pitch he just who you are as a person you either can sing that you can't sing I think he arguably has one of the greatest singing voices I've ever heard from any man ever.
