- A decent game by wayforward, played completely blind but it wasn't too hard to beat for the first time. Getting to play with 3 characters is kinda cool and it has some variety at least too. I show off some of the minigames I found at the end too.

The nights of getting mad in the car because I couldn't see the gameboy screen until we went under a street light. This was one of my childhood games!

For me, the game easy, i only had few deaths of stupidness moments. Aside for that this game isn't consider the dark soul version of spongebob one. 😅
Oh my god, the memories.. the hardest level for me was with Plankton running away from the patty
I remember I HATED the worm level as a kid, it sucked!

At least the levels here are shorter than the console version. Those levels take hours to complete!

Belive or not, this game became my favorite Spongebob GBA game, out all games so far released on the GBA era...😅
I remember not even being able to beat the First Chapter of this game, it took me a good week or two before I could even play as Patrick Man 😂

This brings back so many memories. I was 7 years old when I got this for my pikachu gameboy. Shit was mad hard but I still beat it like 3 times. LOL
I remember the many times raging on the Plankton Krabby Patty part because I was 4 and didn't think about obvious possibilities. I have the cartridge still but my DS Lite's L button is jammed and the top screen is about to fall off.

When nostalgia kicks in..
From what I remember (and am seeing) this game was an interesting one. It was strange and bizarre with it’s concept and some of the in game art (in particular sponge bob’s driving stage) however the main downfall comes in the form of clunky controls and somewhat awkward gameplay. Now for me none of this mattered as I actually only remember getting to the level after spongebob fell out of the sky. Now the reason behind this wasn’t due to the difficulty or anything like that, but instead it was due to the music on the falling stage. Something with that song messed with my head and I quickly had my dad uninstall the game from the game boy after that. It’s a shame too, as this one definitely looked interesting from what I’ve seen, though it looks and plays nothing like any of the other side scrolling spongebob games

I played the Wii version of this game, which will always hold a special place in my heart. Though I will admit, I think this version nails the “dream” theme more with the shift between 2D and 3D segments as well as the segments having a “trippy” design.
Still though, it’s very expansive for a GBA game, and I like that a lot!

@@Pointerr I used to have the Wii version but I didn't like the motion controls so I bought the GameCube version and bought the Game Boy Advance version I liked both versions I think the GameCube is great and soild and I think the GBA is one of the best SpongeBob games on a handheld device

@@Largest_Marge That's a pretty legit line up of games. I played this lovely fever dream of a game back on the gamecube lol I loved the style of the Patrick parts.
I really hated that damn worm level. If you fucked up on the plane, I seem to remember you had to start all over BACK TO THE CHASING LEVEL!

Chris Caldwell the ds verison sucks the most, it may look better and sound better, its played with touch controls manly and its the main focus. its very annoying to deal with and the most frustrating
