The fact you're doing a demo with a husky makes you a boss, sir.
@Loria Updyke you too, alt account
It does i really want to see him wirk with a TRD
I just chased two of my huskies through the thicket because of a deer. My collars will be here in two days. Thank god.
🤣🤣🤣 👍
@@mguarin912 I was wondering how your training was going? My husky is the same and we just got it
I trained my male husky off leash following his videos three years ago. I’m now returning to train my second husky. I’m excited.
Appreciate you using an untrained dog for the best possible explanation/demonstration! You’re the man!
As a owner of many Huskies I find humor in every trainer that uses the phrase even Huskies when referencing the come command. I am however about to get my first working line GSD . Great stuff
Get a Malamute instead. GSD is garbage....unless you're headed overseas ? In the fallen M-pyre ? Shiloh perhaps ???
@@dougtilaran3496 Bro.. GSD garbage? Hahahaha
I like the way you get right down to business while also explaining how and why you’re doing what you’re doing. I’ve watched some other trainers on CZcams and they spend way too much time talking and not enough doing. Great job!
I agree. This man makes sense...
Excellent! Finally a video with a dog that's not docile like most of the training vids out there use, thanks!
This just helped me soooo much! I’ve been binging on e-collar videos and I’ve learned so much but no one talks about what to do if your dog goes past you (drive-by) or ignores you or is not very food motivated at times, we just started conditioning and this is something that we are really struggling with! I am so excited to train my Pit tomorrow now because of this video! Thank you so much for showing a real life example of the beginning stages of e-collar conditioning! 🙏🏻💕
4 months later, how is everything?
I have the same issue. What to do if dog blows you off!!!
16:10 you said to do the beginning phase for about a week. How many training sessions do you recommend a day?
Thank you for continuing to put out this helpful content, it has been helping me and my pup so much!
Haz you’re such a legend for putting this content out for free
Thank you I have not been able to figure out why the command comes after the stimulation for AGES. This channel is sooo valuable, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the video. I so appreciate the ideas you have given and commend you for showing all the mistakes that pups will do instead of showing perfection each time. Awesome video
Love this training. Very helpful to learn how to responsibly train your doggy. 👍🏼
Excellent! Best training session for ecollar on YT. Thank you!! and a husky! My Akita can relate!
Thank you for this vid! E collar saved me and my deaf and blind doggo...she can have her freedom off leash thanks to it:) it's a great tool for comunication if you learn how to use it properly:)
THANK YOU for doing this with a husky, mine does all the same things Stormi is doing & I am at a loss for how to help her be better. Very much appreciated!
I appreciate trainers like you that help us that maybe don't have good trainers in our area or a lot of money for training...some charge so much for just sit and stay.
Thank you for this video.
I love your videos and definitely will support you. Very few, if any dog trainers are willing to share this info in a YT video, for free. It's awesome that you do. Helpful. Immensely! And btw, doing this demo with a Husky is even more impressive, and very helpful!
Thank you so much for your videos. I have owned hunting dogs and always keep a yard dog for security, your videos are making me think about a serious protection dog.
I love it!! thank you for helping us! cant wait to try these tips with my buddies for their safety!!
Thank you for the content. I'm in Central America thinking about getting a dog. Your really helping me plan on what kind of dog and training I will look for.
This is the best e collar video I have seen on utube. Great job
This is the best training video for an e-collar I have found. The guy actually talks about training the dog instead of himself! Imagine that!
Thank you foe this video. Yesterday was the first time that our dog did not go after a cyclist. I caught him at the right time. It was an amazing walk for the 1st time ever. Oir dog was a rescued with unknown background but is friendly to other dogs and people. He has a severe anxiety. Also with hunting breed in him. Every little things that moves, he goes after it. This is a game changer. I do highly recommend this as training tool for all dogs that has issues like ours.
Just found this and the setting up the Mini educator. 8 have had mine for about 6-8 months in the box as i was very apprehensive and wanted to do this correctly. These videos are excellent and on my way to a obedient dog.
I have a mini educator, very good customer service and a great device. I would start training inside with a leash and commands she/he knows on working level without distractions. Sit, place, down… then move to outside.
Thanks alot man for the videos its really been helping me train my 4 month old Presa Canario , located in Ottawa, ON! 👊
This was a good video. I have been one of those “come come come come” types who keeps pressing the button till my dog comes. I will try it differently. Fortunately, this is my 1st day training so I can easily adjust.
I have a walker hound 🤦🏻♀️ no re-call. And he runs out of the house like a master magician. I just ordered this e-collar hoping to work on the re-call. Thank you for your video :)
thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge
Thank you for using a husky i have one and they are so stubborn!!!
They're not stubborn, just under stimulated
Great and REAL! Thanks for showing this with Husky!
This is so helpful. Thank you. We have a 4 month setter and this is going to be very helpful.
Very good advice!! 👏🏼👏🏼 all the things you said beginners do I did lol
Thank you! Hugely valuable. PLEASE keep doing these types of training videos and I'll definitely GOFUND. Can you do videos dealing with leash / dog reactive dogs? I've made huge progress with my GSD but would love to see the efficiencies and how it's done by professionals.
my dog is reactive too
@@agood1 loose leash walking , once your dog knows it properly 99% of reactive cases will disapeer , It's like you take their power away: ] . I was correcting my dog with a prong at first , but I didn't introduce the tool properly and didn't really used it well , I started introducing and conditioning the e collar than I did loose leash walking with the e-collar . all of this with haz of leash obedience online training .
This is the best video on the net on how to use an e collar hands down
Appreciate this. Easy guidance without overengineering the process.
Excellent! I really do appreciate these videos.
Great vid man, training with the e - collar has made outings with my pup so much more enjoyable for me and my gsd mix. If he hears me getting that thing out of the drawer he starts wagging his tail and gets all excited. He knows we're about to have some fun.
You put an e collar on your pup?? Are you kidding me?
Why don't you guys learn clicker training? That's the best way of dog training, the e collar is pure abuse. It's even illegal in my country and about all over the world, only in the US and some other countries it's legal. But the reason why it's illegal is, cuz it hurts the dog, the dog gets fear and that's why he stops the behavior. But what you do long term is actually ruining your relationship with your dog cuz he's gonna loose his trust in you and the dog can resent you for that after some time and stop listening to you even with the ecollar on and then, the only thing you're gonna do is abusing him and not teaching him anything.
Start training with a clicker, i could send you some videos but please try out real clicker training, you can train everything AND you're just making the relationship better between you and your dog. And not hurting him or anything else! Please try it at least, stop using ecollars, choke and prong collars, they are so unnecessary and you just don't need them, you can train everything without abusing your dog and making him fearful and hurting..
@@sarajleigh he literally just said his dog gets exited when he gets the collar out, that's the opposite of fearful.
An E-collar doesn't *cause* pain when put on the right setting for your dog; it's just like giving them a tap to get their attention.
@@sarajleigh clicker training won't teach a reliable recall for a lot of dogs. My coonhound would much prefer to keep chasing the rabbit than listen to a clicker
@@sarajleigh A vibration or a sound interruption is not harmful to any dog. I don't shock my dogs and have never had to, a beep is usually all they need. That's it.
@@sarajleigh It is only abuse when abused or used incorrectly. There are more than just the shock option such as vibrate, page, beep and even spray, plus the person said their dog gets excited when he pulls it out does that sound like harm or fear to you? Every dog is different and has a different personality let people do what’s best for their dogs training
EVERY other trainer shows how "successful" their training is with either a border collie, golden retriever, etc. I have a lovely but stubborn, mind-of-her-own, constantly on-the-hunt Brittany, not an obedience poofball! THANK YOU for showing these methods on dogs that might REALLY need the training!!!!!! APPRECIATED!!!!!!!
I feel your pain LoL. I have a 9 month old stubborn as a jackass Boykin Spaniel.
I agree, Malinois are my favorite but training wise, and experience, theyre freaking easy lol huskies have a certain amount of harness, I want a demo dog that isnt a Mal for myself but still figuring out something that would fit our lifestyle. Huskies were always a good active choice 😍
Thank you for free training video
Just got the ET 300 1/2 mile remote today, my bully is wearing it now. This is my 3rd time watching this video just so your instructions are drilled into MY brain. In a couple hours I’ll start training. I’ll let you know how it went later. Love your channel bro👍🏽
So... how did it go? You find it helped?
Update
man oh man i wanna give you a hug this is such good information
Thanks brother
The videos help ourselves & companions live a safe & happy life
Cheers
Great video, and free! Have donated, this is worth every penny 👏🏻
Great Video Ecollars give Freedom, Safety, Control, Understanding.
Haz, you are the man.
This video is phenomenal!! Thank you so much for doing this. I am researching to train my husky to COME on our farm. I have difficulty as a trainer with the steps and have found myself in some of those "poisoning" commands you discussed! Explaining the reasons why behind the training really helped me.
Content is ON POINT. thank you!
I actually was able to teach come to my husky pup without a E collar! But as he ages, sometimes rarely, just because his "genetic predisposition" ( learned that from you😜) I can tell he doesnt come to me on purpose.... He goes to OffLeash K9 obedience school starting this month on the 20th though and they will give me a e-collar So im glad I found a video of you with a HUSKY!!!! Your the best man!
Your so on point his too see this from you love it
I used a petsafe training collar for my Great pyrnees and it was game changer. Made a different dog. Amazing
You guys are great !
Love your Videos, working through them and your whilst training my 1 year old GSD and I'm making power moves. Once I've read the book I'm going to purchase one of your books. Massive thank you for all the amazing content you are creating! 👌🏾
I just got a 1 year old GSD. Curious if this worked for you. Sarge runs about 40 miles an hour so can get outside the range of an e-collar pretty quickly. (1/2 mile in 45 seconds, if my math is correct, so maybe not that fast.) He is stubborn and values his freedom to run over any other reward or deterrent. Except for water, water is the one thing he needs from me.
So helpful for beginners
Thank you!
thank you! im going to try this myself!
This video is pure gold I got you brother on the fund me
Thank you, we have a Shepard that’s highly hyper and are thinking of e-collar training cause she likes to run off.
Thank you for offering these training for free, much appreciated ❤️ your videos ..will find this helpful training my 5month German shepherd puppy .
I'm learning a lot for your videos. Thankyou from India🇮🇳🙏
My local trainers use an e collar and the association is attention on me. Im not a big fan of your system currently, but still in the early stages of research. I’ve found this channel to be a lot more educational than others
Good video . I just started e collar with my field golden.Going to be good
Excellent information amigo. Well done.
Thanks for videos. I am finding them helpful.
i just got the dogtra arc for my pup! you guys are such an underrated training channel. sending love from new york!
That pup is acting exactly like my 4 month old Husky except turned around MUCH faster than Sansa would especially when there are distractions. Well, I will try what you suggest.
I was very encouraged to see you cover the situation where treats are not enough which is the situation with my pup. I hadn't seen that covered in other videos, which is why I started searching on e-collars.
Thank you, this video is so useful! 😊😊
Excellent video..Excellent information...I've been looking for this type of video for a while...I have a 2,yr old 75 lb Shepsky...I have my hands full...lol
Absolutely the best video i have seen so far about e colars. Thank You!
Only One question how old the dog have to be to start e colar trening?
Thank You.
Excellent, thoughtful explanation of an e collar technique. Thank you. raphael nyc
Great video, you pretty much seem like the only real person who will talk about e-collar training without the fear of the potentential backlash you will get from uneducated people. Keep it up!!
Exactly, it's very ironic because the people who complain about e collars are the same people who would send there dogs to get neutered at 8 -10 weeks old
@@----aryan---7857 And 6 months after that, send the dog to a shelter because they can't control it.
Appreciate your help.
Invaluable video! 😊😊
Excellent video!!
So clear on instructions, excellent work. Yep with the delusion of the word come. My family makes me crazy with over use of commands.
Believe it or not, I just adopted a Husky/Greyhound mix. I live on a small farm and haven't been able to let him off leash. It's a big problem. This video was very helpful.
Moving backwards makes so much sense… great tip.
This is amazing. Suscribed.
Thank you for this!
Since I was reading you book now I know you're saying "chip". I thought you were chirping lol 😂😂😂😂
"Until I do THIS" 😂😂 that face.
6:40min to 8:00 one of the best advices/explanations ever!
I like how you used a husky (very stubborn breed in general. Love em tho) and how u talked while doing. A lot of people just talk through 90% and i dont see how it's done until the last min or 2 of their vid. Thank uou
Finally , finally, finally!!! A video with a guy that gets it.. sorry didnt get your name sir. I have an American Bully and he and this Husky are two pees in a pod. Starting your training techniques tonight and yes we work with "Mugshot" after work daily and he is getting pretting good on a leash actually but still a tough pup. He is 5mth 2wk old. Kind of you to enlighten us on these techniques! E collar will be in today!
Hello, have you made any progress?
I just sent this to my sister. She watches my dogs when I go out of town and my gsd husky mix (probably akita gsd though) has horrible recall with her and ok recall with me. We are going to start this training in the morning and she's going to be able to follow through now at her house. I think it will also help her other dogs with their recall.
How’s your dog now?
@@tyshaylewis22 his recall is much better now with her. He still has a lot of puppy in him though. I'm hoping he'll mature soon but I think it will be another year
@@tigger6186 how’s it now?
@@Ryan-tq9wr he still has a slow recall from time to time but he still comes and won't run off, he just likes to finish sniffing the ground. I do believe that just comes from the Akita in him though. They're an ancient breed that are considered free thinkers.
Thank you. You are a good man. I appreciate this so so much 💓
Great video
Thanks so much!!
question - what are the camo / cargo pants you have in the beginning of the vid. they look ideal for when I'm out with the dog
great video, I'm just getting started with an e-collar with my shepherd mix rescue. thank you
Love this thanks
Thank you for the video
Thank you for your video
Can you list the link or brand and model to the type of training colar you have? That would be super helpful, many collars are too strong and not great for training
Thank you for the video but I was wondering if you were using vibrate or shock?
Thanks!
You're awesome 👍
Love you Haz. If you come to tx plz let us know
Is it on vibrate when you do that or is it on shock I would like to know so I know I would do in mine right thank you for this video it's very helpful for me
I have a GS/husky in service training, my trainer recommended & I bought the ET-300ZEN. My question to anyone is clarification of the timing for vibration: does it change from administering it PRIOR to recall command at start of training then allowing the dog to come on verbal cue with vibration ONLY AFTER the dog doesn't come? I was told you want to provide the dog the opportunity to make the correct choice to COME without having to be "corrected" if that make sense. (I may be jumping ahead of our formal e-collar training starting later this week, thus watching the videos.) Mahalo for any clarification.
Wow your a genius! Lol
Thanks for realistic video and using green dog, a husky.
I have a kangal dog and I am thinking to use e collar for teaching her not to lounge on other dogs. She knows "come", " sit", " wait" and I can walk her without a leash, she is always coming to me when I call her, but when the other dog aproaches she is running to them and scaring the hell out of the owner and the dog. She isn't attacking them but scaring them and seems to enjoy it. So I will try to use e collar. Do you have some recomandation wich one e collar to use on such a big dog?
What contact points did you use for the husky?
