@Sandy K the first hour or so was pretty boring, I enjoyed the world and all that but didn't think much of it, until I got a bit further into the game and got more cards, the synergy with different cards can change combat massively. My Carla is completely different to how I play Bruno and without a skill tree I didn't think it would be possible.
@@aidanpia5458 does it change the floatiness of the combat?...majority of my game was melee combat and it disappointed me....the reason why dying light was so good was how weighty the combat felt and had a genuine strategy

I mean, its identical to dying light even down to the drop kicking animations and rage/zombie mode were you go berserk which also has the same animations when you hit things lol. Dead island however took away parkour, open world, and and implemented a worse skill system. Dead island has guns though unlike dying light 2.
Slowly circling zombies is also called the Han Solo technique. Works every time

I lived in California for the first 20 years of my life. and my life did get a bit duller when I moved away since I dont get to see Giant spider anymore. Im glad they put giant spider in the game even if the real one is much bigger.

Never really played the 1st Dead Island for more than 6hrs... this looks fun but I'm hoping it's not cringe type fun
then you never played any other game i guess.. because this repetitive mash attack button until zombie dies is the most boring gameplay i have ever seen.
try dying light 2 it's like actually fun and has engaging versatile combat.
not to mention it got brutal gore update last week which is more than enough.
If you like this play dead Island one it has more content then this one better gameplay design honestly, this one took out so much that the original had. I just don't understand what they were thinking and the end game will just no end game

As soon as I heard you were sponsored by Epic I knew this review was going to praise the hell outta this game. Pyro talked about how they offered him 30k to talk about the game but he couldn't say anything negative about it.
This is also why I hate EG, because they always, always pay ppl to say good stuff about their deals or themselves, and even pay ppl to Astroturf the company and crap on Steam at the same time (literally see ppl doing this on the Steam forums since EGS showed up, and the court documents prove they actually do pay ppl to talk shit about Steam almost anywhere they can).

This actually looks pretty fun. Definitely no GOTY awards on the way but if it plays half as smooth as it looks I think this'll be the fan favourite of the year. It's been too long since we got a playable triple A release.
It plays really nicely, it's super fun and the environment detail and level design is top notch
Got a 2080ti and an I7-9700k, I have not had a single problem with this game, and still make well over 100fps in every part of it front start to finish, so not bad. It runs good on next gen consoles too.

I haven't had a game give me so much joy when an enemy comes towards me. In every other game no matter how good the combat is I get sick of it eventually and just want to finally complete the objective. And yet here I've never got sick of it, the combat is just so satisfying
