  • We've now owned 4 homes together and this will be our biggest renovation project. We are moving back to our hometown to be near family since having our daughter and are excited! Stay tuned as we update a 1970's split level home.

Split level homes are my favorite.

I just love split levels. This is the kind I want. Leave the wall open and keep all the walls.

These old split level homes are amazing. Hopefully kept near original

It certainly has been well taken care of.

@@CraigHartmanDIY please don't make it boring and minimalist, it would be sad to see this beautiful home become grey, dull, and soulsucking

In the room with the shelving and paneling, just paint the paneling behind the shelves an accent color. Then you don’t have to remove anything and the wall will look like bead board. Kitchen, iron pass through, you can close the lower half in with cabinets and a breakfast bar. Still open at the top to the den. I would do a wood stove or electric fireplace in the den. On the wall by the door to the garage. Looks like my house! Good luck!

Looks like you’re going to have a lot more content in future. Congratulations on your new house!

Shouldn’t have painted the outside of the house to look sleek… I would have kept the brick untouched…

Brick remains untouched! No painting happening there.
