Working with a 80s style DFW Area Thrash band. Tracking guitars today tbh.
Finishing my custom-built control room desk and hanging treatment in the live room. Pretty close to being done!
A few new songs for my band the Finger Lickins and finishing my book on the local Newfoundland indie scene ;)
I am currently in the process of creating a home studio in Austin, Texas. My property is 2/3 of an acre, and at the end of it I have a shed which I have acoustically treated so that it can serve as a home studio. I have used your videos to help me through this process. I can send you pictures via email or text.
It would be helpful to get some advice.

One of my FAVORITE parts was the 'Mr. Andrew Masters.' With that accent, it's easily one of the most adorable ways I've ever heard his name called out haha. Also taking off the 'cover' was very satisfying as well lol. Your space is beautiful :) Great video!

That Korg DW6000 is such an underrated synth. You can pick them up for a few hundred bucks. The DW8000 is even better.
Grab a Retroaktiv DW8P programmer and you'll enjoy it even more.
I love the giant Epic home studios but my favorites are these single room studios like Brandon's.

That Digitech harmony machine looks just like the Digitech GSP-5, which I used to have back in the late 1980s and recently rebought (though haven't used yet). It's noisy and digital but has its charms.

This to me is my dream setup. I am still trying to convince my wife to allow me to build over our 3 car garage.

No matter what other monitors I auditioned the HS8s are just so good to mix on. Stuff translates PERFECT on them, that's what I love the most. I track and arrange on adam a3x's and a presonous treblor sub. But the final mixes always are done on the HS8s and I get a lot of compliments and confused faces from folks who run genelec, barefoot and other 'better' monitors. Great room!
Suggestion for Andrew: It would be great if each studio tour video had a link to something recorded there. I know there are links provided in the description but have no idea where they were recorded.
I'll bring you on the team to do that for each vid.
