    NOTE: If a dice roll leads to less groups than there are
    players in the game, the leftover players get to take a “move the Steward one step” action in compensation.

    Very interesting, I like the idea of a penciled in player board and score sheet, pretty cool! Also the rule about winning forever and just giving the game away made me crack up! Thanks for the great tutorial as always Rodney!

      @My Cat's Breath Smells Like Cat Food I'd be disappointed in myself if that 1/60 millionth lucky chance was used to instantly win a game of Corinth when the luck could have been applied to winning the lottery, but Id take it over being struck by lightning.

    I was wondering if Rodney will cover that part of the rulebook that details what happens if all the same number is rolled. Sure enough, he did. :D
    I looked at the rules for Yspahan, the game reimplemented by Corinth, and their instructions say in the rare case of rolling all the same number, all dice are put on the camel space (the lowest group space). Consider that alternative rules for those that don't want to part with a game. :)

    Hi Rodney and thanks for another great video. I would like to ask you pls some questions about the game
    1. after you take a die or dice, you must or may do either an action / move Stewart. Can you just take the die/dice and do nothing?
    2. can you give a gold to turn a die from 6 to 1 or from 1 to 6?
    3. if there are no more dice to take to do an action and you cant make a complete move using the "move the Stewart one step", does this mean you cant do anything at all in your turn?
    Thank you.

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 4 lety +2

      1) The rules imply that you cannot choose to do nothing, but you may end up in a situation where you can't resolve the dice you've taken.
      2) The rules do not say, so I am inclined to think you cannot.
      3) The rules say: " If a player ends up in a situation where it is not possible
      to proceed to a complete move with the Steward (not enough Gold Coins to decrease the number of steps for instance), they cannot choose that action."

    • @WatchItPlayed

    • @aba_dab_o
      @aba_dab_o Před 5 lety +2

      In the rulebook: *If a dice roll leads to less groups than there are
      players in the game, the leftover players get to take a "move the Steward one step" action in compensation.*
      So if no dice group remains when it comes to a player's turn, they may take the action to move the Steward one step-move him one step, circle the space and get its reward. (I believe you still can spend gold to increase the number of steps.)

    What happens if I pick lots of dice of the same district? Let's say 5 blue dice. Does that mean I can complete the 4 items shop, and put the extra one in a new shop? Does that mean I can complete the 2 and 3 items shops at the same dice pick??

    • @WatchItPlayed

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed  Před 4 lety +2

      Hey Phil, I prefer not to review or recommend on the channel. What one gamer likes, another will hate - I don’t like trying to guess at what someone else’s tastes might be, so I prefer to just show exactly what the game is and leave it up to the viewer to decide if it suits their particular tastes. All the best in your quest to find a roll & write you’d enjoy. Hope the video helps a bit too :)

    Interesting game. Personally, I'd cannibalize some sheets to make game boards for replayability (get some meeples and tokens from other games as indicators instead of crossing off things on the sheets). I'm always sketchy about games with consumable pieces.
