But he had to put in the time, RJ was one of the first players to pave the podcast route and was grinding away for years. While JJ basically came on the scene overnight, and I love JJ too he's one of the best out there too (and these guys together can top Inside the NBA), but JJ deserves to take some heat for how easy he's had it and I'm here for it.

      That's on the coaching staff and front office. You got to have a bench to win a chip, Denver doesn't have it. No way Jokic should be playing 47 minutes and not be gassed. You could develop a Zeke Nnaji or something, or in this offseason find the right pieces. You need a guard or two, center and forward. It should be a 9 man rotation. So JJ, when you get the Laker coaching gig, remember this series and how the Wolves showed composure in the toughest of situations in a game 7. It's because they built that trust in themselves, confidence, "habit" over this entire regular season and faced situations like this thru out the season and closed many games playing tough physical D, imposing their athleticism and spreading the scoring around when it matters.....
    So regular season matters and you build that habit thru out the season and you need to drill that into LeBron and AD... There's no such thing as pacing yourselves for the post season... Not this Western conf.
    Also, it's important to build confidence in all your Alfreds down the roster like Max Christie, JHS or Derek Lively by actually playing them and allowing for them to learn by making mistakes, grow to a reliable role player by end of season.... and so they'll come thru with critical contributions like a NAW or Naz when it matters most....
    And if you tell me one thing we learnt from this playoffs so far.... Is that rebounding matters and physically imposing yourselves as a team on a game, a series.... Matters!!!.... Rob Pelinka and his staff needs to understand this nuts and bolts of winning basketball.... When you build a roster.... Every roster would be lucky to have a TJM or Josh Hart

      @ChidOki Před 24 dny

      I really hope JJ doesn’t go coach. Especially the Lakers. He’s just going to be scapegoated and fired within 1-2 years. And it doesn’t matter how smart he is with basketball, the majority of former players who get an NBA head coaching job with no other pro coaching experience struggle, or have unfair expectations put on them.

    • @Murali_bala13

His demeanor indicates, "Let me show you all how much better I'm than rest of this league when it comes to basketball Xs and Os" .... So he's thinking the opposite I bet .. I'm the next Phil Jackson or Steve Kerr .... Watch me under the brightest spotlight on the planet....
      To me that's the best chance for this Lakers' era to achieve their ceiling...
      Ofcourse it might crash and burn spectacularly given the competitive league esp in the West.... But that's better than your mediocre Kenny ATkinsons and James Barega's of the world ..

    • @ChidOki
      @ChidOki Před 23 dny

      @@Murali_bala13 I don’t think any of the former players I have in mind have a fear of failure either. Their supreme confidence in themselves is what made them excellent players. It doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be a bad choice though. For every Steve Kerr situation there’s multiple Steve Nash situations. So I’m going to go with “crash and burn” because lakers are not a well run organization.

    • @Murali_bala13
      @Murali_bala13 Před 23 dny

      @Murali_bala13 Před 23 dny

Also taking cues from Steve Kerr, he had a crack staff of assistants with experience managing different aspects of the team ... That's what is required here.... Maybe they can bring Vogel back as a defensive assistant and a coach like Phil Handy back to manage player developement....so JJ is not thrown buck naked into the ring so to speak....

      Jokic isn't the reason why the Nuggets lost. The Nuggets lost because of 3 reasons
      1) no backup center for Denver. This means that Naz Reid can dominate the bench unit and Jokic is forced to play more and be gassed.
      2) Mpj averaged 13 pts on 38% shooting when he is supposed to be a 20 points 50/40/90 player.
      3) Murray has been terrible in these playoffs even though he played good in game 7.
      20 pts on 40/30/80 splits aren't enough to beat a stacked Wolves team.
      Jokic averaged 29/11/8 against the Wolves on 50%fg. This is arguably the best defensive team since the 04 Pistons with 3 all stars in it.
      LeBron in his prime (2011- 20') has never faced a similar type of defense with 6'8 + defenders and rim deterrents at every position.

    The game, as well as the whole series, was a 50/50, without safe ones. Wolves from -20 to +10, CONGRATS! First conference finals after 20 years. Extremely ELITE defences are the main thing about this series.
    As soon as Gobert hit the cleanest shot of his career, in the middle of 4/4 from the fadeaway, out of desperation, I knew it was over :( Reed again gave a mountain of key points.
    There is nothing to complain about Jokic, OF COURSE! The man played the whole match with 1 minute of rest, gave 90% of his team's points in 2/2, collected 19 rebounds. Ok, a lot of misses for 3p, but most of them are shots of desperation because the rest doesn't work, nobody can make a basket. All the best to Murray, a lion's fight through injuries the whole series. Porter + Gordon 11p, if you are must looking for blame somewhere, then it is there.
    The whole POff Nuggs are somehow out of their right rhythm, like on one leg... They were again within a bit of the Conference Finals. Jokic justified his role as the best player in the league, some new young stars are coming to annoy him and push him out of his comfort zone :) The nonexistence of moves in Denver's trade deadlines turns out to be the key to the total and absolute exhaustion of Denver's starters in such a physical series. Apart from Holiday at times and the excellent Braun, in his role, the reserve help is almost non-existent. On the other side, Reid played as a starter + Walker, etc... Insurmountable, it turns out.
    However, we are left without a "collision" between Jokic and Luka, the balkan brothers...
