Thank you for reviewing this phone!! I have the S21 myself, and I bought it almost around $250. I love the S-series than the A-series. It was my first time switching to a flagship premium phone, and it hasn't given me issues at all except for the battery life due to its small battery life.
I would rate this phone as an 8/10. I love how it loads up games, makes calls faster, and launches applications quite quickly. Best decision I've made for a 3 year old flagship phone. 👍
Of course! I agree with everything you said. Samsung flagships are literally the top of the game even after being used for many years straight. And just like you, this has been one of my greatest tech purchases even if it's used and 2nd hand. @@IanTheGabriel I agree. It's important to check the reviews first and the seller's average stars of how others review the products they bought from the seller. I got mine from Back Market and was able to activate it to a carrier I wanted to pick.

Hi bro im coming from an lg g8, and the battery is pretty ok, so is its battery perfomance better than lg g8 or the same?
Well according to my research, despite the S21 having bigger mah of battery (4000mah), the G8 and S21 have similar average screen on time. I would not say that the S21 has better battery life than the G8 since it's built so spec heavy with 120hz screen, fast charging (that generates a lot of heat) and a powerful chip (that isn't quite optimized for battery life). In S21 vs G8 battery life you'll get similar experiences at best, however you'll probably be getting a used or pre owned S21 and it probably already has a bit of degraded battery. Couldn't be so sure tho because I haven't used the G8 myself, take use of this information as you will.
This is my camera phone. Been using it for a month now. Heating issue is real and it happens when you are playing games like Mobile Legends. I Have the Snapdragon 888 on my S21. But the performance is good also its battery life.
Wow, just for a month? Haha and yes I do agree with everything you say, a lot of my instagram photos are just taken on the S21. Heating and battery issues are literally the worst based on my experience. Oh you play MLBB too? Lmao let's play sometime haha I also make MLBB content on this channel maybe you'll like those too
The exynos version suffered from serious overheating on the upper left corner of the phone. It got uncomfortable to hold and affected the battery life. Otherwise it was a really nice phone
This has been a constant problem on all Exynos models, it's actually kinda sad but it is what it is. Even this Snapdragon version, I could confidently say that it also doesn't have the best battery performance so there's that.
Just got a s21 about a week, i can get up to 5 hours screen on time... still great though for 3 years phone

My S21 5G is still on august security patch 2023 as of today 6th of march 2024 will i get the update soon ?
I tried to look it up for a little bit, and it appears that the S21 will get some security updates this 2024, though I'm not sure about the specifics of it in different countries.
Is it really true that the s21 series has lines on display issue after the updates?
Yes and It actually happens even at the S20 models, however the case is quite rare and there is no indication or warning if it’s actually gonna happen. It’s quite sad. I also hope mine doesn’t get those screen lines when I go for an update.

I talked about heat issues in the battery section, it happens mostly on using games and camera. I also talked about screen imperfections in the display section, but to prevent it you just need to be careful with your screen by avoiding putting heavy pressure on it, and by not using max brightness all the time.

I use Nova Launcher or Niagara sometimes. But most of the time I just edit the default Samsung Launcher.

used 6.5 or 6.4 inches back then for a while and these were tablet phones i hope 6.2 wont be a big deal for me again since im gonna finally move on from my s7 that has 5.1 screen
Tbh the size of the S21 is just right for my hand, and I have pretty small hands

The S-Pen is only supported on the S21 Ultra model, for the base S21 it will only work with a regular stylus I guess. You can skip to 3:41 for the battery part but in short, it's not that great especially if you're a heavy user.

Galaxy S20/S21/S22 are all good phones and do everything you need in 2024 😮
Strong disagree, but maybe it's different in every country. In my country smartphones ARE expensive, even the low model ones are not that easy to get even for the common folk. It's the same reason why all my smartphones for the past 4 years are all bought used and refurbished because it's cheaper

Yes, if you have enough money to buy and S21 Snapdragon version it will be more than enough to suffice your needs. However if you're a heavy user the battery might not last that long.

I have this isue from 100% drop to 97% very fast in 5 min and i get 5 hours sot is my batery consumed do you know? my phone s21 5g
I think 5hrs SOT is okay and normal. But the fast battery drop, try checking in the battery status in the device care on what app causes the battery to drop that much. You can also try watching other videos of battery saving tips on S21 in CZcams.

should i get 128 gb for 28000 INR or 256 gb for 34000?
It all depends on your needs really, if you're not a heavy user and don't install too much apps and doesn't take many photos and videos, the 128gb would just be fine. But if you think 128gb wouldn't be enough for you, then you should just go for the 256gb.

Of course Ultra is better. It just depends on what Deal can you fit on your budget much better.
How about android updates?
As of right now, my last software update was on March 2 at One UI 6.0, and latest security patch was on February 1. So the updates are still going smoothly as of the moment.

You can skip to 3:41 for the battery portion. But in short, It's only good for light to moderate use, it won't last long if you're a heavy user like me.

Price?
If you're lucky you can get it around 350$ or lower. I bought mine at 360$ on November 2022
Just bought one for my mom for less than $200 USD (on Amazon). Terrific phone, my brother has one as well, and I can see no functional difference at all between my S23 and the S21 performance-wise. On paper the S21 has a less powerful processor sure, but in real life it can easily handle any task/game as well as any of the current 2024 flagships. Also I saw in a news article that the S21 series will get updates between May-June to include some of the current s24 AI features (AI translation and circle to search; I already have these on my S23, but they are coming to the S21 too)
For fun, I compared it to the 2024 samsung midrange phone A35... It exceeds in every single category (except future software updates I guess if that matters) and the S21 has lots of features that the A54 doesn't, yet the A35 costs more (around $400 currently). It's kind of amazing that such a premium phone as the S21 is available at such a ultra low price point.
@user-re5dl3ir3h that's right. It's amazing how Samsung treats even their old flagship phones. The S21 really is a gem of the generation. I'm happy about the phone setups of your family, it's just way more practical to buy cheaper tech that are still good and stand the test of time. Kudos to you too!
Look my friend, im really irked up with your camera samples, How dare you could show them as "Edited w lightroom", They must be STOCK photos and they shall be judged purely on that basis ONLYYYY. In that case i'd bring a 6 year old Nokia phone and edit its photos showing them Superior to the iPhones or Pixels. This ain't a good practise, you must change it.
Not all of the shots are edited in light room, some shots without that label are the actual stock photos. I was trying to convey that this camera is able to get really good images and ofc the light room edits don't have any resolution enhancements or anything like that. However I still agree with your feedback and I apologize, next time I'll try to at least put a before and after edited, or just lessen the edited images in general. But for this vid, you can pause on the images that are NOT light room edited if that helps.
