1987 Tamiya Hotshot II - first short test drive

It's original, with some new parts from rerelease and fresh engine with pinion.
As I'm almost mainly "Kyosho guy".....need to say that this car drives really nice! 😇👌

My 1st and only Tamiya from back in the day (probably got it in 87). In my mind and with nostalgia, it's in the 2nd best looking Tamiya 4WD (difficult to beat the Avante to be honest 😅) Same as JoevsRC, can't wait for the ReRe (even if I have one original already) 😊 🤝

I started hobby in 1990-91, so out od this period. But I like these 80's and 90's buggies a lot😊

Personally preferring the original, but those rerelease are really good as they produce spare parts for those types again 👍

@czkarting I would love an original new in box but we know what that will cost if it can be found. Soo I will have to settle on the rere
