For an artist who recorded some of the best acoustic piano trio albums in jazz history, it is amazing how much Chick made this one stand out. Three masters near the top of their game.
These guys are like super heroes to me. Their playing so incredible and perfect that I forget it’s improvisation.

I’ve understood, that the reason why Electric band made this acoustic album was the deal with GRP. The company demanded an album per year, and this came between Inside out and Beneath the mask. Anyway, this is a Super album!
