    Wow! You not only ran over it, but on a gravel road where it could have gotten punctured! Impressive! 500W is a very respectable amount of solar for most applications. I'll look into it. Thanks for the video. I like your style!

    What about when it's not outside and u have a self heating battery? Does it have a way to cool it dwn when it's not outside since it has self heat? Does that even pay a part in what going to make it work

    I have a self adhesive 200w bouge on the way, I’m wondering how best to install it over the ridges that run lengthwise on my suburban roof..like..should I try to fill in the gaps between the ridges or just let the panel be uneven as it dips done between the ridges

    • @NoLimitVanLife
      @NoLimitVanLife  Před rokem +1

      If you did go through the trouble to create some sort of sheet to stick them on, that will have a half an inch to an inch of space how about that it will help keep the van cool when the sun shining on it but if you’re somewhere, where it’s often cool, then maybe you want the sun to heat up the van I don’t know But I would totally just stick them on there. The more difficult question is whether to run the wires from the middle back front.

    • @NoLimitVanLife
      @NoLimitVanLife  Před rokem +1

      To produce 700 W most days you’ll need six or seven 200 W panels which should keep a small air conditioner going. if it’s only about 80° outside you’ll need way less power. they are very sticky so they won’t blow off. These are forever panels but if they must be removed they should be scraped off to prevent damage. Hey body shop has chemicals that will dissolve the sticky gummy material

    How does the efficiency of these panels compare to hard mono panels?

    • @NoLimitVanLife
      @NoLimitVanLife  Před rokem +1

      I’ve noticed with panels that the efficiency on the stat sheet doesn’t tell you the truth. The only way for me to find out is to lay them out under the same sun. The CIGS panels are slightly larger than silicone but they’re also lighter and I don’t have a bezel. My guess would be nothing beats the throughput of a large house panel because they’re higher voltage but without testing it who knows. Maybe using a light meter would help but I’d love to layout the panels together for a video.

    • @antigroundhogday
      @antigroundhogday Před rokem +1

      @@NoLimitVanLife yeah, their ability is attractive but before investing I'd like to see the output of them vs. a regular panel. Also, I probably won't be first to jump in and wait on if they delaminate over time. Best of luck with them!
