I noticed how soft my hands were after sticking them in soybean so water to remove their skins. Would I be able to replace the plain water with soybean water since I will have the addition of the preservative?

Hi! Thanks so much . The aloe vera juice adds a soothing moisturizing feel . You can always add more glycerin but be careful because too much will make the lotion feel sticky .

Thank you ! I really appreciate that . The 3 preservatives I would recommend that are made from natural ingredients are : Preservative Eco, Geogard 221, Leucidal SF complete . When choosing a preservative make sure to choose one that’s broad spectrum they are not all bad and are needed to prevent harmful bacteria from growing in our cosmetic products . I don’t have a recipe for a preservative liquid soap right now . Thanks for mentioning my channel to your friends .
@@OceNatural Organic maple syrup is also a preservative. Use in a lot of hair and skin products. I use it a lot. It has to be Organic USDA certified Maple syrup. :)

Hi! Welcome ! Thanks for watching . Yes you can. Add it to the water phase and mix it well .
What kind of honey could you use on the skin? Manuka Honey ?
Can this be used in the face pls?.Also, can one add whitening powders?
Many of these ingredients are used in facial moisturizers so more than likely you can use it on the face. I know nothing about the whitening powder but I would personally say no. Make something separate. You can use rice flour and distilled water to make a mask. Japanese wo en do this and their skin is white and beautiful.
If you're trying to treat Melasma (hyper pigmentation),you'll have to search for other methods although the rice flour mask can help.

Hi! You can adjust the emulsifier amount and use less . Follow the supplier usage rate guidelines for the emulsifier . You can also adjust the liquid /water content as well .

Yes you can and it won't affect your shelf life because remember you're adding a preservative.
Will the butter maintain its consistency each time you want to apply on skin, or it will become harden
This is a lotion not a body butter so it remains the same consistency .

Unrefined Shea butter. I don’t have a soap free body wash . All the ones I make use surfactants

You are welcome ! When you transfer the lotion to a jar don’t cover with a lid until it has completely cooled down to avoid having condensation

You are welcome . No you can’t . Beeswax will not make the lotion . The emulsifying wax helps to combine the water /liquid and oils together to make the lotion .

How does this one fair in the heat of summer? Will it melt like body butter or remains like a normal lotion?
This is a lotion so it’s not going to melt .
Is it okay to let the Shea butter liquid to become solid and the whip it with a whisk just in case you want it to be thicker than how yours turned out
You'll have to add a thickener like cetyl alcohol (there are are a few others that you can use).

Hi! You may have to reduce the amount of vegetable glycerin that you are using as it can make the finished product feel sticky .
Will this consistency work in a pump bottle rather than a jar?
No it will not as it’s thick
When is a good time to add mica/ coloring in this recipe?
You can add a skin safe mica after the emulsion (lotion )has formed during the cool down phase

It’s not going to give the same consistency and it doesn’t absorb as fast . Some people use it for their lotion it depends on what you are wanting your final product to be like .

Hi! You can either adjust the emulsifier amount or add a thickener like Stearic or cetyl alcohol
What can I use instead of the aloe Vera gel for substitute?
You can use aloe vera juice or powder or hydrosols (rose/lavender) or you can omit
How do you write emulsify wax in your formula.. 25% of oil phase? How do you covert it?
There are different emulsifying waxes and different usage rates . Please refer to the supplier website for your particular emulsifying wax for the correct usage amount to use
Can I use tap water if I don't have distilled water?
Distilled water is nothing but boiled tap water. By boiling the water, it gets rid of all the germs and impurities. That way, its safe to use the product or sell it. Take a clean pot, fill it up with water and boil it for 3 mins. take it of the burner and let it cool completely. Fill it in a large glass container and put it in the fridge until you are ready to use it. I do this all the time. :)
For this recipe is it 2.4 oz each of shea butter and avocado butter or is this the combined weight ?

Depends on the combination of butter & oil you use. Most body butters have an average shelf life of 6-12 months

No, they are to different types waxes. E-wax is what combines water and oil. It is used in every lotion.

What if u don't have a thermometer???? How long should u wait till u join both phase together??
You will need a thermometer of some kind so that way you can check the temperature . You want both phases to be at about the same temp or within 10 degrees of each other When you combine them together .
