    I noticed you used mesh and thinset inside the niche. I assumed this would bump out a mosaic in the corners and joints, did you encounter that?

      Thanks for the question, I didn't notice any visible bump out the tiles. I didn't have a problem with making the mosaic tiles lay flat. The waterproofing membrane was not a significant thickness that caused problems.

      @@richofalltrades1 I see, so did you mesh and tape the corners of the niche or just liquid?

      I did both, sheet membrane and liquid membrane overtop. Better safe than sorry.

      @@richofalltrades1 Interesting. I’ve heard of people using foam/sealant to avoid that issue. Looking at DIY kerdi niches it looks like alot of banding gets back there in the corners. Myself am considering preformed niche in combo with goboard. I’m not sure how much I trust a sealant combo in a water collector like a niche.
