    HDFC is a general insurance company which provides different types of products like motor, travel property insurances which will have less chance of complaints.. So the total average of complaint percentage reduce...Care is a standalone health insurance company which sell only health products.. So comparing these two volume of complaints is not justified.. Compare it with hdfc health insurance products volume of compliant only

    You have missed major point here. Care Supreme has limitation, you can take treatment only in Zone of your postal address, company will not pay if claim is in other zone. Example: I am residing in Bangalore, my address is Bangalore. In case I had to take treatment in Mumbai or Delhi, that will be considered as different zone w.r.to Bangalore and CLAIM WILL BE REJECTED.

    Is the low complaint for hdfc due tonit being a general insurer? Isn't it unfair to compare both? Is there data available for hdfc health insurance separately.

    • @dittoinsurance
      @dittoinsurance  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Hey! Yes, we have mentioned in a few videos that HDFC being a general insurer can play a role in their low complaint volume. However, we do not have any health-specific data available for them.

    Care supreme plan is good.. But as a customer i dont suggest it to anyone because Care customer care service is very poor. They will never give reply to our emails and enquires. Also there is only option to speak to sales officers..Their only aim is to sell policy.
    I used Star health before porting to Care.. Star healths service is much better than Care.. Customer support is very good in Star and they will get touch with us when needed.. So iam fedup with Care now and iam planning to Port to HDFC ERGO next year..

      I ported two of my health policies, parent's and mine from Care Health to HDFC Ergo.. I was really confused because Care Health had an excellent plan with no sub-limits and half the premium cost but wasn't sure of their reputation. This video cleared that up for me. Peace of mind especially during hospitalization is way too important for me than double premium cost.

    Would migrating from HDFC Ergo's Optima Restore plan to the Optima Secure plan, while concurrently enhancing the base coverage from5 lakhs to 10 lakhs, invoke a renewed three-year waiting period for pre-existing diseases? I have maintained my policy for eight years. I would appreciate your expert guidance on this matter.

    • @dittoinsurance
      @dittoinsurance  Před 4 dny

      The waiting period upto the sum insured plus bonus will be carried forward to the new policy you are porting or migrating into. Only for the additional sum insured you have increased which is over an above the base plus bonus combo, you would have to serve the Waiting Period.
      For e.g., here 5L restore policy is what you are holding. If claims were made in this policy the total sum insured would be 10L with the help of no claim bonus. Now if you are migrating to secure 10L cover there won't be any waiting period applicable. On the other side, if it was 15L then for the extra 5L fresh Waiting Period will be applicable.
      Hope this helped. If not, please feel free to reach out to us for further help - bit.ly/3TjMsBQ

    • @dittoinsurance
      @dittoinsurance  Před 2 měsíci

      Care supreme age slabs are as follows: 18-35, 36-40, 41-45. Basically, the age slab is every 5 years and once you cross from one age slab to another you can expect a 15-30% increase in premium based on age and 10-15% every 2-3 years based on medical inflation. In HDFC, it increases on a yearly basis which is 2-4%, every year based on age. Medical inflation is the same

    What about reasonable and customary clouse apply in care
    Pls clear

    • @adityaiyer4256
      @adityaiyer4256 Před 28 dny

      Basically if you have reasonable and foolproof claim then apply for care claim since care insurance will look into every excuse, they have to deny claim. Here's an example -
      A. My mom had cataract surgeries on 19th & 23rd June last year.
      B. Care initially accepted both claims as both surgeries are pretty standard and should be covered under their cover right?
      Nope, they later rejected one claim saying that hospital got blacklisted on 23rd June yet funny enough, claim on 23rd June was approved but one on 19th got rejected under mysterious circumstances since their rejection statement again reflected different statements.
      In addition, we still didn't receive that claim despite multiple escalation and since my mom got diagnosed with kidney cancer in September, we didn't have time to pursue it further. Yet here's another banger, I had renewed her policy in August last year since we didn't want to take additional risk and thus when she died in ICU due to a stroke, care again rejected a cashless claim from reputed hospital due to another excuse. Overall, care will happily pester you for policies but won't explain claim rejection under one pretext or another.
      PS - not just me but multiple other people have mentioned horrendous claim experience with care and care will enforce unnecessary paperwork at a time of personal crisis.

    Your reply is appreciatable

    • @dittoinsurance
      @dittoinsurance  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi,
      To answer your queries:
      1. During a new policy purchase, if we choose to reduce the PED (Pre-existing disease) waiting period by opting for the rider, we need to pay the rider premium for 4 years and then discontinue the same. However, in case of porting, it will vary based on existing coverage amount and Sum Insured opted in new plan.
      2. For Cumulative Bonus Super, we need to pay the premium every year and opt for the rider as long as we wish to have the benefits from the rider. If we discontinue (stop paying premium for the rider), then all the accumulated benefits will be lost. Also, please note that for some age groups (like eldest insured member's age75), this add-on is mandatory.
