Hey Mudit We are not an insurance provider. We are a corporate agent. We do not issue the policy nor do we have any say in the matter. We simply relay requirements as noted by the insurance company. Insurance companies require you to disclose the status of the HRT so that they can evaluate your application. This isn’t a requirement set by Ditto. It’s a requirement set by the insurance company. We have also assigned a senior advisor to your friend to help them navigate the case. Once again we want to reiterate that this does not mean the policy will not be issued. The insurer makes this call. More importantly, Ditto has no role to play in this decision.

HDFC Ergo has policies for people beyond the age of 65. However Optima Secure is only available to people who are between the ages of 18 and 65

In some sense we have to recommend one product over another. That is our duty as advisors. But we do this not to make more money off of customers. That would be a short term approach that could easily fall apart the moment people start making claims. Instead we recommend products by working backwards. What policies can i recommend to customers so that the claims experience is as hassle free for the customer. And a good way to check if we are objective with our advice is to see the outcomes of those who’ve had to make a claim with Ditto. In fact this is why we're rated 4.9 on Google. Because we try and optimize outcomes for customers. Also, if you ever feel like that you are better off choosing a different provider, then we always recommend choosing them over Ditto's recommendation. Peace of mind is paramount. So hopefully this comment gives you some understanding on why we have preferred partners.

@@dittoinsurance No it is true cause after my due diligence I found the HDFC Ergo to be the best player in terms of Health Insurance and Ditto recommended it too. But what about people who can't pay such high premiums do Ditto help them too so they find the next best product in the market or do they stick to HDFC and advice to take co-payment?

Which problem u faced from Policybazaar as I m thinking to buy policy from them as I thinking there physical agents r very much present in Delhi NCR

Hell with policybazar ,, they want to sell a policy to customer it's their target and they will harrase in calls to buy policy. They won't suggest what we requires . Ditto is one of the best platform try it

how is your experience with Star Health...? all private insurers are shit I feel

It has to be an informed choice. We think more customers should know what they're getting into before they buy a health plan. We still think it's essential for most families. But we hope that people know how to navigate the claims situation if they were ever in this position.

It's hard to say this definitively. But they do perform cotinine tests which can be performed on urine, blood, saliva, or hair samples. A healthcare professional usually collects the samples to ensure the test's accuracy

The official regulation is out which means insurance companies will have to follow. What our team member is probably saying is that insurance companies haven't yet sent a detailed response on how they intend to handle cases like porting while also applying the moratorium period. We are still awaiting some clarity on this and we will have an update soon.

So insurance companies will not be able to use this clause if they believe there is a legitimate reason for hospitals upping their prices. This depends on circumstance and how well your advisor can bat for you during claims

We completely understand this sentiment. In fact, as a corporate agent, we have repeatedly lobbies with both insurers and the regulators to treat customers with more dignity. This video is compiled based on the responses from the Ombudsman on matters of partial claim settlement. In reality however, we have seen that insurance companies are more than willing to work with both the customer and the agent when they have to deal with inflated bills (or what they perceive as inflated). This is an edge case and we believe customers should be vary of what could go wrong when they make a claim.
