Hey absolutely! I always try my best to make tutorials that i know would have helped me back when i was learning. Stoked to hear you were able to get them down. Keep crushing it Mate
my close friend taught me how to drop in when I tried scootering for the first time (my other friend gave me a try) and it was really fun, now I've bought myself a scooter because of that
I dropped in my second day scootering on the half pipe and I freaked out because I did it but when I went down I put my feet out and now i can do it and thx for vid ❤️❤️❤️❤️ 🛴
Right on man! love to hear the progression, keep crushing it. Thanks so much for watching.

That’s so awesome to hear! Stoked my Video was able to help. And that’s so awesome, since four years old, that’s incredible. Stick with it and you’ll be unstoppable.
this helped SO much i was so scared to push my self to drop in my local 4ft and I'm younger so I'm much smaller! thanks you so much for making this!!
at first I could only do a prebuilt 3ft btw the 4ft is concrete so way more sketchy
That is so awesome! I’m hyped my video was able to help! That’s so sick you stepped it up to a 4ft quarter concrete quarter. Keep crushing it! Sounds like a 5ft quarter is next 😆
@chase rost cause of you I learnt how to drop in on the second most highest ramp at my skatepark thx so much👍👍👍👍

Love the intro Chase !!
you mean intro 😅
Thanks so much man!!!!! The intro almost took as long to film as the entire vid 😂😂😂😂
@@ChaseRost dang dedication💪🏼☯️
How are you so underrated Chase? I love your content, it is great. I was actually wondering if you could maybe make a tutorial on flying out of a quarter pipe?
He has already a tutoriol for that!
@@marileenboer9911 He has an air tutorial but not a fly out tutorial I believe
@@muhnamesnotjames1743 ah true yes sometimes im confused with the terms.
yoo thanks so much! i really appreciate the support. and heck yeah, i'll absolutely make a tutorial on flying out of the ramp. thanks for the video idea
Sup chase finally you made a drop in vid i been wating but i did say that bout 5 month ago
i'm so late!!!!!!! i've been absolutely slacking on making videos lately. now that weathers nice again ill definitely start pumping out more tutorials and videos. any tricks i should do next?
I love how detailed and how you explain ways to get more comfortable, I think this is really going to help me once I get my scooter. Thank you.
much love mate! i'm so glad you thought my tutorial was detailed! You got this, when you get your scoot, you'll have to let me know how it goes.
@@ChaseRost i will!
@@ChaseRost I got it Friday night and was able to put it together to test it.
It was the Root Industries RS V2 that I got.
Today I've been riding quite some and I'm starting to learn how to bunnyhop and how to do an 180 while stepping on the brake.
I love the scooter and scootering! Can't wait to experience it all!
Thank you I forgot how to do one Cuase I broke my wrist so I had to learn agin lol 😅

Thanks, this helps a lot!!
heck yeah absolutely! so stoked my tutorial was able to help! thanks so much for watching
that very sick montage at the start deserves a like O_O
hahaha thanks so much, thought i'd change things up a bit with that intro
I dropped into the quarter pipe first time ever yesterday, with one foot kicking off (not planted like a tripod). Was definitely scary until I did it and realised it wasn't so scary. I immediately went on to what I assume is the half pipe, much taller. So much fun! Next goal is to drop in with both feet on the deck, then to roll in. I can get up the pipes and out, so once I master dropping in, I'm going for air as the next goal.
3 months in to scooting and I love it!!
Thanks for these great videos (and also to the random strangers and kids at the skatepark giving me tips and encouragement!)!
Keep it up man, once you can drop into a quarter pipe it makes the bowl really fun and easy!
You make the best most professional descriptive tutorials yet no one watches them
it's alright, as time goes on and people find my channel, I hope they'll stick around as I try my best to bring as much possible value to the viewers as I can. But I still really appreciate when you guys help me by sharing my videos to other riders that could use these videos.
really appreciate your support man, i always love seeing your name pop up in my comments on all my videos.
100% agree
50 years old, 6ft2, 2 months scooting with my 9 and 7 year old.... dropping in is a process... they have no issues, but my center of gravity is higher... its difficult... its my balance in question... ive seen kids dropping in with their feet far back on the decks.... effortlessly.. 😂😂😂
that is so awesome man!!! i'm sure your kids absolutely love having your with them shredding at the park. i think thats the coolest thing when i see dads out there having fun and learning along with there kids. you got this, just take it slow and start small. slow and steady wins the race. you are totally right about the center gravity point being higher. you will wanna use your legs to adsorbe more as you drop in to help lower your center gravity until you get fully comfy with it.
Thanks for the tips from another ole boy with boy sorta arrangements , ole boys rock !! lol
thanks, this helped
Hey absolutely! So stoked to hear my tutorial was able to help!
This is the best drop in tutorial on CZcams.
much love!!!! i'm so hyped you think that! i'm always trying to work on way to help as many riders as i can. so i'm always so pumped when someone thinks my tutorials are helpful.
I have been scooting for about 2 years I started dropping in about 3-4 months in. Now I’m doing 5ft drop ins!
yooo thats what up dude!!!! keep up the progression, you're crushing it.
Thanks!
This really helped! I’ve only been scootering for two weeks now, but now know how to drop in because of you! Thank you so much! ❤ I just tried it today on a 3ft ramp. Very nerve racking, but I did it!!
that is so awesome!!! only two weeks in and you already got drop ins. "Virtual fist bump". Keep crushing it, at that rate you're going to be unstoppable.
it was my first day today going to a skate park so i looked at your video and my first day i did a 4ft drop in!! very scary
MY GOD I spent soooo long trying to teach my friend to jump over stairs On a scooter. It took him at least an hour to commit and another hour to actually do it. In the end he ended up banging the scooter on the below stairs. So yeah after that I went to the skatepark and immediately watched this video and a few hours later landed it. Thanks!:)
Thats so sick! so stoked to hear my tutorial was able to help
Sucks how I’m trying to drop in my bowl but it’s like 2 of me standing on myself😭😭😭
you got this! bigger drop ins are the same as smaller drop in but just taller and a bit scarier (looking). but the core fundamentals are the same
U got it!
First love it
You rock! Thanks so much!
some where around the 4.64k subscriber mark Lets goooo
Heck yeah!!!! Were going to keep grinding
I can go down ramps. But I keep hitting my right foot on the ramp in fear while going down. Cool video though!😊
thats a great way to get commfy on the ramp. Eventually you'll wanna rely less and less on your right foot till you can doo it with both ft on. you got this, just keep sending them and they will become easier and easier
@@ChaseRost ok. Thx!
@@ChaseRost My back wheel is still hitting the cope
Im gonna go to the skate park rn and try to drop it i hope it goes good!
Good luck dude! Definitely let me know how it goes, you got this!
It helps me thanks

thanks bro
Absolutely bro!
much help
right on! So stoked my tutorial was able to help!
I'd recommend warming up first cause i tried dropping down without warming first and i ended up scraping my knee. After i warmed up and i could Easily do it but if you haven't scooted aroind lately just warm up to it
For sure, great tip mate. warming up if a great way to get comfy before sending any trick. thanks for adding a helpful tip
Dude, You Have Gotten Me Back Into Scootin, If Only I Actually Had A Trainer That Corrects Me When I Fail...
man i'm so stoked to hear that. keep crushing it man. and thats so true, a scooter coach can be so beneficial to helping you progress. not sure if your in the ohio area or not, but i'll be coaching a scooter cam on July 27th-29th at mikes bike park. would be so sick if you could make it out.

Thank you very much for this tutorial! This helped me get used to the quarter but I’m still a little scared to send it even with one foot. Is there anything I can do to over come that fear?
Hey absolutely! So stoked to hear my tutorial was able to help!
if the quarter pipe is small enough, one thing that you can try to help get you over the fear is to tilt your scooter down into the ramp and let your front wheel touch the quarter pipe first. (while your other foot is still on top of the copping) this will help you be able to be already inside the ramp so you wont have to worry about leaning to far forward and possibly falling over your bars.
Nice
thanks for watching Mate!
So I have a feeling that going up the the 5 ft ramp at the skate park I go to (the trige) gives you a feeling of what it might feel like
5ft ramps are definitely a bit tall to learn how to drop in on, but if its the only ramp you have to learn them on, its still totally possible.
love your
love your support 👊🏼
Mans so underrated
We’ll get there one day hopefully 🤞🏼 until then every like, comment, sub and share means that absolute world to me. Thanks so much for all of the support
Thank you i will try this next time i go to the skate park the thing is the ramp is extreamly higher than that i might break my bones😅
you got this! try to start out nice and easy, so if you have a smaller ramp at your local, start out there. then try to work your way up.
tysm! this is so helpful. I’m going to try your tips tomorrow and i will edit this comment if i did it!
Hey absolutely! thanks for watching, i'm so stoked to hear that you thought this was helpful. Definitely keep me updated, i'd love to hear how your drop in goes!
@@ChaseRost sadly i haven’t built up the courage yet, but ill get it someday
This help me so much but sometimes i hop in and i fear sliding in could u help me with this?
Thanks again for the tutorial!
so stoked my tutorial was able to help! and absolutely, sometimes your deck and tap on the way in which can cause it to slide. if you are dropping in from a stall, i would recommend just keeping your weight as centered at you can. and then you start to drop in, make sure that you keep your head leaning forward and your body weight leaning forward aswell. this will help your scooter from very slipping to the side during a drop in.
@@ChaseRost Thanks i can do it now with my friends scooter but not mine for some reason when i try to drop in my scooter does not slip forward is there any way i can make the bottom of it more slippery so it moves. Thanks for the tip again 😀
I’ve been riding for almost a month now I can Tailwhip , bar spin half can 180s and all and I just realise I’ve always been dropping in with one foot and once I go down I put my other foot on the deck when I’m going down hitting the curb 😂 is that fine ?
thats a super popular way to drop in. dropping in and then putting your other foot on is totally ok. once you get super comfy with dropping in with one foot off, it'll make it super easy to drop in in the future with both feet on.
Does the back wheel lift on its own before you go down fully or should i have to do that?
its a little bit of both. as you drop in your back wheel will lift a little bit as you transition from the top deck to inside the ramp. but at the same time you are going to wanna hop just a pinch to help clear the copping. the hop doesn’t have to be very big at all, only about an inch high hop should do.
Hey could you tell me how to drop in on a vertical ramp?
you have earned a sub from me
you rock!!!!! thanks so much for subscribing
If you feel comfortable hitting your wheel on the coping can you hit the coping
you absolutely can! Actually most of the time when i drop in and am going for max speed, my wheels just slightly touch the coping so that is totally ok if you are comfy with your wheels touching
I learned by gaveling one foot off and stepping into it and putting my foot back on
thats a great way to get yourself started going into the ramp
Just did my first today
ahhh heck yeah!!!!!! Congrats
I dropped into the bowl for the first time and was not scared because of this video
Right on mate! that is so awesome to hear! congrats on sending it and better yet sending it without fear. keep crushing it
Heyooo! Can you show me a video to go down steep quarter pipes.
Hey hey! going down steep quarters is just like going down smaller ramps. you just have to lean forward a bit more and really commit to the drop. i always recommend starting on a mellow ramp and slowly working your way to bigger and bigger/ steeper ramps.
@@ChaseRostthanks, I can drop in now
@@BabyMrLust heck yeah dude! 👊🏼
this may sound wird but whats the name of your intro song?
We actually made the intro song ourselves, but it does use a super similar sample sound that is used in a suicide boys song. i cant recall the actual song name tho.
Guys I’m going to wood ward next month 😝
I know how but its chase so ill watch
Yeah ikr, literally such a underrated rider, also in my opinion makes the best tutorials
@@VXKingYT right such good advice
You guys rock!!!! Thank you so much for your support. I Always love seeing your names pop up in my video comments
can u do this method for more higer ramps like 5-6 foot?
You sure can. Drop ins on smaller ramps are nearly identical to larger ramps. The only difference is the angle at which you have to lean forward at.
@@ChaseRost rlly thanks I thought your wheel might clip. Love this tutorial you deserve a lot more views and subbs.
I did it like 8 times and now i Can do it anymlre
ahh shoot what happend? think you might be leaning too far to the side while dropping in?
Dam gonna be quite hard for me cause i just started like a week ago and the smallest drop in i have is a 4 - 5 foot metal one so ill slip when running down. so how can i make this starting point easier
this is gong to sound funny and make you look like a super little kid, but you can try to butt slide down the ramp first to get comfy with the ramp. once you are totally ok with butt sliding down. You can then get back on your scooter and depending on how slippery your ramp is, you can practice the step at 3:50 you just may not be able to get as high since the ramp is metal.
you can also try the one foot drag technique. Since the ramp is metal this should work out well so your foot on the side can act as a stabilizer. I talk about this step at also at 5:49 Hope this helps, definitely let me know if you still need any help
@@ChaseRost hehehe i do that anyway to try get confy with it
Can you please do how to drop in vert?
I sure can, but for the most part Learning to drop in on a six-foot quarter pipe is nearly identical to dropping into a vert ramp, just a little bit of a bigger drop in the beginning but the rest is identical.
@@ChaseRost I can only use my foot to drop in to a six foot because last time I did it properly I cased and my scooter stayed on the coping and wouldn’t get over so I stacked it. Now I can’t get over the fear of it. Now when I go down smaller ramps, 99% of the time I can get my wheel over the coping, but it’s just that one six foot ramp.
The way I learned is I put my front foot on the scooter, And I leaned it downwards, and drop in.
thats a great way!
I got comfortable by stepping in to it first
thats a great way to get yourself started going into the ramp. once you get fully comfortable doing that, thats a perfect transition into keeping both feet on
i can drop in on like a 4 foot quarter pipe but i want to do it on bigger ones but i am 2 scared any tips???
The drop in is almost the same when it comes to bigger ramps. i would just recommend preparing yourself for the slightly steeper beginning though. A good way to get your confidence up to drop into a big ramp is to have your one foot on the coping and then have your scooter fully inside the ramp to drop in for the first time, this will help as it'll feel like you're not starting up so high. Once you get yourself to actually go down the ramp the first time, then you can actually do a normal drop in just like on the four foot ramp.
Every time when I’m at the the skate park I feel so nervous because it’s a bowl not a quarter pipe
You got this. Dropping into a bowl is super similar to dropping into a normal quarter pipe.
tbh i dropped in on something that was 6ft because i thought it was five feet its really all mental
Haha that’s so funny, I see that happen all the time.
Everytime I want to drop like this 7:42 I keep on thinking that I’m not gonna do it or I’m gonna fall on my head, is there any tips for me to not be scared or anything
i would recommend trying it on a smaller quarter first of get very comfortable with rolling into banks first. this will help get you used to dropping in when your back wheel is behind the coping. if you try on a smaller quarter first, your back wheel is much less likely to hit the copping.
Words of Advice just lean forward and send it
so true!!!! the amount of times riders could do it first T is unreal.
I have got a bit of a problem, no parks near me have a good drop in to learn, the best thing close enough to me to use is a 6ft almost vert so yeah, i don't think i will be able to learn it on that
6ft and almost vert..... that will definitely be a bit harder to learn on, but still doable i would highly recommend getting as comfortable as you can at pumping up and down the ramp. if you can get yourself almost to the top of the ramp, it wont feel as scary when it come to dropping in. but definitely if you are ever able to travel to a new park with a a bit more variety in ramps, then that'll definitely helps for sure.
I've decided to go and try learn bmx or mountain biking instead as i feel like scooter is way to difficult to learn with the things nearby me, there is another skatepark which is street though which i could improve on however, thank you for the tip!
Just got my new scooter today, and I am still scared to drop in because I’m scared to hit my face on the ground. How can I overcome my fear? I wish I could be good as you :)
the best way is to start small and get comfortable on your scooter then work your way up. you can also wear knee pads helmets and elbow pads to help make sure you don't get too hurt.
Everytime I’ve just dropped in my back wheel has it the top of the ramp and it’s messed me up so I prefer to just jump into it from the top
that totally works too. have you been able to work your way into rolling dropping in yet?
are you in MD
I am in Dayton ohio
@@ChaseRost oh, sorry I thought you were in Maryland because the birds in the trees in the background stuff they just look a lot like
