      @Fish-Story I love bigger bad lol.
      I know where he's at is best for him now but still hoping one day you decide to give him his own 500-1000 gallon tank. He would end up as close to you guys as pets like dogs and cats get 👍

      @@j_toledo419 Right, for this reason, giving him his own 500g or bigger has been planned for a while now, but we have no such tank yet. We have an donated acrylic 250g tall as a compromise. It's got a busted bottom, an easy repair.

    I always assumed spring to be the breeding season. I wish there was more information about the natural life cycles of these fish would be awesome. I have to say that male red tail gourami is a beautiful specimen.

    I'm surprised the piramutaba isn't partaking in any summery activities. I would have expected it to given how it was feisty enough to keep on getting into fights until it lost most of its dorsal fin.
    Which reminds me. I had been meaning to ask at the next update on the less aggressive 4500/17K liter, can we please name the piramutaba War Veteran?
    I think it would be appropriate on account of, as mentioned above, being a veteran of enough 'war' to lose most of the dorsal fin.

      I only was talking about species with multiple specimen present in the tank. The vaillantii has calmed down a lot since early years. Or it could have been the tank mates that were triggering it, which are now gone. ... I'd be careful about this name because this can be a sensitive subject to human vets.

    Виктор, а на полу лежат рыбы, они отдыхают или их поведение такое постоянное? Столько разных и все мирно сосуществуют? Не тесновато?😊

    • @Fish-Story
      @Fish-Story  Před měsícem

      They behave naturally. That's one reason why I think their home is adequate. Yes, we combine fish based on compatibility. It's a bit heavily stocked, I agree but again because they behave as expected, I think they are alright.

      @@user-kj9ee3cs4r Они ведут себя естественно. Это одна из причин, по которой я считаю, что у них подходящий дом. Да, мы подбираем рыбу в зависимости от ее совместимости. Я согласен, что ее многовато, но, опять же, поскольку они ведут себя так, как ожидается, я думаю, с ними все в порядке.

    do you have alligator gars in any of your tanks , how big do they get in captivity

    • @Fish-Story
      @Fish-Story  Před 13 dny

      Florida will not give ANYONE a license to keep an alligator gar, us included. I've never seen a captive raised over 3-4 feet. They seem to grow very slowly after that size.

    Where can I get a TSN catfish that looks like sock puppet but a smaller baby size?

    • @Fish-Story
      @Fish-Story  Před 13 dny

      Usually you can see this defect in juvi TSN too. So if you come across one like that for sale, you could buy it. The defect varies a lot in severity and can get get worse with age too. I'd expect the overall health and longevity to be negatively impacted too to a varying degree.
