Fija and Samoa have improved a lot due to Super Rugby. Argentina was benefiting from the Jaguares but you can see a decline since they were removed from that tournament even though they are still in the Rugby Championship. Nothing beats consistent top level coaching and matches against the best players. I also don't think it is a coincidence that Ireland has really taken the next leap into a top tier side with South African clubs playing Munster, Leinster and Ulster consistently in club rugby. Has the loss of the South African sides from Super Rugby negatively impacted the New Zealand team also? One could argue that.

Very tight game, both defenses were simply too strong, aside of that, Samoa had issues to score medium-difficulty penalties. Overall, Argentina was better, but I believe the score should have been narrower, and Samoa to get at least a bonus point.

That yellow card is incomprehensible. The Samoan was not trying to challenge the player. His eyes were on the player in front of him. At most there was a penalty there, not sure.
He touched the ground with his shoulder before his head, if the head touched the ground first, there would be a red card probably

Samoa №15 was unlucky to get a yellow card because he did not áctively or purposely or even accidéntally take out the Argentinian №10 in the air, his own f..... scrumhalf took out his legs under him! In fact the Argentine №10 was extremely lúcky that the Samoan player was there to cushion his fall! If a card was to be awarded it should have been against the Argentinian scrumhalf. But that is obviously ridiculous. 😆 Who reviewed the footage, is he friggin blind?! Just once I want the television monitoring referee to DISAGREE with the onfield ref and say no, I see nothing wrong with that. But then the onfield referee will swallow his whistle, and I don't think the medics are trained to handle such an "injury". Or has rugby become so enamoured with the ”May not take out the jumper's legs underneath him" that if a defending player's éar touches the jumper he gets carded?! I repeat what I posted before on CZcams: to prevent bullshit like this and a player possibly breaking his neck just MAKE IT ILLEGAL TO JUMP IN THE AIR TO CATCH A HIGH BALL. Easy! The first try scored by Argentina happened directly after Samoa were yellow carded which they didn't deserve. The Samoan player happened to be standing in the wrong place at the wrong time when the Argentine player happened to jump up for the ball and fell awkwardly after falling and bouncing off the Samoan player who wasn't trying to contest for the ball or tackle the Argentine player. Cards are ruining this tournament and rugby union as a whole and will decide a lot of games.

EEUU o Canadá no son medida de nada.
