Abandoned Theatre - Movie Theater (Police)

- This is an abandoned movie theater, that I an another explorer explored. Due to the conditions the explore was not as long as my usual explores, SO sit down and enjoy the movie! The Last Showing, for this movie theater or is it theatre?
Was a Magic Johnson Cineplex that should've never been built in early 2000s.Nearby Holiday Inn failed & closed in 79 or 80.The Randall Park mall died & closed 2007ish.All located in a bad area.If I can recall theatre was barely open a year Gang violence & shootings shut it down.Most of that has been since torn down except hotel & couple of Dept.stores there.Very risky place glad you two found one another.👍Great Ohio wasteland vlogs.Good collaboration you 2.

I found an article online that this was a 12-screen Magic Johnson movie theater.It opened in 1999 but because of poor sales, closed in March 2008 when the theater owner AMC Entertainment pulled out.They tried to keep it open under new management but failed so it was abandoned.It took 6 fire departments to keep the fire contained to the concession area & 1 theater.I knew before the article it was a Magic Johnson theater because of the design.I love the designs of his theaters.I also figured that they tried to keep it open but couldn't because of all the stuff left behind especially the movie film lying around.I think if this theater was closed & abandoned, most of the stuff would've been sold off.The article didn't say it was arson but another thing I read said it was

Probably a victim of the digital age in movie projection, a lot of theaters could not afford the transition.

I agree... I worked at a Magic Johnson Theatre from 07-09 and we were the only theater in our area that didn’t offer 3D films... I think it hurt us more than it helped us

That shot at 3:28 was creepy as hell.Dust,orb,ghost,whatever it was would've tripped me out to know it was right in front of me,and I either walked thru it or inhaled it.Yikes!

sad really this cinema has become a relic of the past so soon ,it cannot be that old,DVD has become so very popular, and can be seen from the comfort of your armchair ,and the snacks are at hand !! therefore so much more appealing to people, perhaps that's why quite often causes the cinemas to end up like this one,sign of the times.it wasn't easy to video so well done Hunter.
my mom wont buy food at a movie theater it costs to much.

Thats where they make their money, literally the concessions carry a theatre.
Probably could not make the digital transition, very expensive to convert.

Hunter just go up to the car and say step off popo ! and why is it this kid Dane gets lost all the time not good for an explorer ! You never get lost (unless you are with Him). Ok tell you what why don't you go find the JuJu Beans and the Jordan Almonds then find Dane - oh oh sour patch kids too !
