@@SeanForsythTutorials It turned out it help only in one case :D Actually when there is an offset after import You should go Deformation => Unify - and this is solving the problem for sure :D Any way thanks!

@@Ulisses19877 Well, just be careful, Unify will just reset your model to the centre of the world and reset it's size to 2, so if your model was not in the centre of the world when you imported it, you'll actually be moving it from where you might want it. Likewise when this happens with other subtools you are Appending or Inserting, if they were if an off centre location (i.e anywhere other than 0,0,0), then Unify will effectively move them to the centre.

Hey Sean. I think this is so you don't duplicate a model by accident only to find out later your poly count has just doubled and you don't know why. Im pretty sure the duplicate keeps the same poly colours so you dont see it unless you Auto Group the sculpt. Sometimes when I've imported a OBJ file it doubles and i only notice it when i Auto Group.

Well, that might have been a good idea, but it only happens sometimes with certain subtools. I've done hours of tests and can't seem to narrow down when it will and when it won't happen. Also, the vast majority of time, you want your duplicate to be in the same position as your original. Because of the haphazard "sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't" nature of it, it feels more like a bug to me. Also, Autogroup will only separate them out if they are merged into one subtool, whereas a Duplicate by default is another subtool. If you export to OBJ as you say, then this is an issue, but at that stage you are in another piece of software working with the duplicate, not ZBrush.

@@SeanForsythTutorials Hey Sean, what you said about The Autogroup, you're right. The OBJ thing with me is that it only happens once in a blue moon, that might be a bug. The great thing with Zbrush is that there's always 4 or 5 other ways around the problems, the main problem is which one do you choose, if you know what I mean. Anyway, keep making these great vids. :)

Yeah absolutely, there are always solutions. ;) I'll keep trying to do the videos, as long as I can keep coming up with ideas that I haven't really seen covered anywhere else.

Is it offsetting because you have active symmetry on ?

I used to manually fix the offset lmao

Yeah, it's not obvious there was an extra step performed. Hopefully life just got a tiny bit easier.:)
