Believing brings joy and peace. Thanks for sharing that scripture. I try so hard to do right so God will take care of me, especially since i tend to make bad choices that have put me in a bad place.
And didn't Jesus tell the people that in order to do the works they had to "believe"
in order to do the works of God. Pray that God would help me with my unbelief so that I can overcome the turmoil inside.
I've been struggling to enter the rest because I got taught repent means to get the sin out of your life or turn from it so I can be saved and this has made me miserable and I want to unlearn this and just have true repentance please pray for me about my wrong believing or unbelief.
pastor thankyou for what you said "i have a brand new blood line". somedays i live in grace, somedays after talking with family member (mom) i live worried i questioned my self where is my faith , i mean where is all the sermon i've ever heard? tempting to searching for people to talk, coz i hv to admit i don't have comunity at this moment. i also found that no one said "oh yes i understand", mostly people gonna corrected me after i talked (in the past), like only me felt that way. while i believe i am not the only human being feel that way or reacted that way in this particular circumstances, that's way i always (better) choose to searching from sermon to sermon and make a comment like this, to pouring some thoughs/feeling. pardon my english. i know god is good, His mercy endures forever, couple times i taste His goodness, but really as much as i need a good health restored renewed by His stripes , i also really wants to experience taste & see His goodness in providing financial, to pay all of the debts, to save our house, to secure our family business, for our well-being. Jesus said on the cross "....through His poverty so i become rich" or the parable of prodigal son who told by Jesus Himself, when the father see his son he filled with "compassion". i love to believe that my Father after He heard me He answer so fast He doesn't want to make me waiting coz i am waiting quite sometimes to see the breakthrough for our family and for my self. asa daughter my mom raised me to became "understanding daughter", she always said didn't have much money so i have to understand, so i grow up become a woman who think "everytime i ask something they will say No" & that"s what happened to me in my previous relationship. & now i am 41 , a single mom , with 10 yy daughter (just birthday yesterday). and my mom always prioritized my brother , if for me she always said no until my university, while for my brother she always supply until now, so i also thought i'm not the chosen one and it also happened with my friendship, i literaly no one to talked for this past a year, this is the reason i believe my comment quite long :) i learn to encourage my self , i am hunger for God's words that makes me stand to hear hours and hours per day, well i think that's the Holy Spirit teach me, leads me to Christ Word to become establish in His grace (oh how i want it to be establish in His GRACE). please if you find this comment, pray for me that me and my family shall have a long life to see and taste our Father's lavish loveeeeeeee in the name of Jesus Christ who paid it all for me and my family. amen.
