This is why scorpions glow:
Certain molecules in one layer of the cuticle, the tough but somewhat flexible part of a scorpion's exoskeleton, absorb the longer wavelengths of ultraviolet light and emit it in different wavelengths that are visible at night as a blue-green glow.

Their eyes adapted to see eachother glow so they can mate. The brightest male gets a mate. I do also agree with the point where they also glow so they can avoid eachother but the thing is that is probably for the males only because the males don't wanna get into a fight over females.
