  • Sometimes our tightly knitted beliefs become barriers, trapping us in the shadows of division. What if we could unravel these threads to reveal the vibrant tapestry of our humanity beneath? The Power of Multarity Thinking demonstrates how open dialogue in safe spaces, symbology, and diverse perspectives can transform our convictions into a canvas of empathy and innovation. Join Dr. Ginger Carlson on a journey from childhood's cozy caves to the global stage, and discover how the interplay of dialogue and empathy can illuminate a path to a more connected and innovative world.

This is a very powerful talk that can help improve communication with people and groups that have contrary views. This is an absolutely critical skill in today’s world where finding consensus can be more difficult than ever. Using AI generated images from a conversation to help build consensus faster and improve understanding is genius!

This TED talk speaks about coming out of your cave and sitting on a table. Talk with each other and resolve the problems. Find your tribe. A tribe is defined as shared beliefs, ideas, and a place where you feel comfortable speaking. The next step involves questioning your beliefs and understanding their origins. Look at what the sources of your beliefs are. Find new sources, not for validation but for nurture. Possible: some believe they need to change; some believe they should break.

thinking about bringing world leaders together lead me to the question of what topics would be the most beneficial for country representatives to discuss together. I thought about how in a class I am taking - a student from Japan speaks on how different values of individualism in the USA versus collectivism in Japan impacts everything down to how they structure high school sports. She recognizes how an individual can gain and suffer from both perspectives.
Then I was also thinking about how televised discussions between American legislators on different bill proposals could be useful for everyone's understanding. Also, do you think there is a limit to how many people can be in a discussion before there are too many individual ideas to synthesize the discussion in a timely manner? How could Congressional talks be broken down into stages to limit that problem?
