- We have had the good fortune at Dream Guitars to have the wonderful Al Petteway demo hundreds of instruments for us over the years. We always look forward to having Al in our studio on recording days - not only for the pleasure of hearing him play, but also because Al's charm is infectious.
But how does he decide what to play on each guitar?
We thought it would be fun to have Mr. Petteway walk us through a bit of his process for choosing which samples to play for our video demos.
Enjoy!

I miss Sir Al.. He was and will always be my favorite.
You have a creative artistic brain and that is very appealing how to patch things together is making more music than the average person certainly more than me. So this is a nice lesson to work through my head. You are a great teacher as with you there are no mistakes only learning. Thanks!
a very good teacher
I absolutely love the exact same song you play in demos. In fact, I am disappointed when you don’t go to that holy grail song. Thanks Al!
Thanks for this Al. The insight you provide in exposing your creative process is more valuable than all the tabbed lessons stacked up on my desk. Good to see you are surviving the pandemic intact. Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!

Good show!!!😀😇
thank you john I mean Al
One request. Could you always start with an arpeggio in the key of E major? That way we can hear each string and check the bass E and treble E to see if there is a sweet 'ping' in the high E.
I am seeing signs of arthritis in his fingers. Hope I am wrong.
