- 4wd camp Gordon Country - Trip video
I decided to take my eldest daughter Chloe for an overnight camping trip in Gordon Country. We managed to find ourselves a beautiful spot by the river.
The campsite we picked is 4wd access only with no facilities.
It was a good chance for me to test my new tyres as well. The place was a bit muddy due to the recent rains which was perfect!

Get that McChicken in ya guts! Lovely country. And nice to see you decline the easy options! Haha great video mate
Hahaha!
Cheers mate 👍
Very cool ☮
Completely agree with you about driver skill. We got snowed in at Cradle Mountain Tasmania. Once the snow plough got to where we were, we made a break for it, (in our high car awd). I couldn't believe how many proper 4x4's were sliding off the road or turning back? Hiluxe's. Prado's, you name it!? We drove out, no issues. (Had previously driven in snow, many times, without any issues, in 2wd's in Europe. Gear sselection and speed being a very important factor in snow...) All the best, you're making great memories for you and your family.
Cheers mate. Thanks for sharing your experience 👍
I'm keen to learn how you strap your recovery board and a shovel onto the roof rack. Perhaps for your next video tutorial? Thanks!
Sure. Good idea actually. I can show a few tips and tricks with that. Cheers
very proo ,see you later,amigo- ))

Cheers mate. It's a top spot but can get busy.
Exelente. Bro👍💪
Ahhh the peace and quite of an air compressor in the bush

One of our favourite places to camp/off-road.. such
beautiful country, nice video. Was that Catfish cove crossing @2.30....
How did you find the new size tyres in the mud, the X-Trail has a good looking stance now.👍
Very nice place but gets busy at peak season. Yes it is Catfish cove crossing.
New tyre size was fantastic. Performed really well and happy with it 👍
@@ruggedlife yea, thought it was, yes can get very busy during holidays and long weekends.
Great video, looks like a great camp spot,
Cheers. Sure is 👌
Nice little video mate. You have a new subscriber
Cheers mate. Appreciate it 👍
Привет из России! Приятного отдыха. 👍
Mate did ya get the snorkel hooked upto the airbox?
Yes but haven't got to the video yet.
Good video ,makes me want to get out & explore our great country. I have a 2012 2WD X-Trail & love it. I want to update to a 4WD X-Trail ,In your opinion what would be best T30 OR T31 petrol or diesel
Both are good in either petrol or diesel. But if you go for a T31 make sure it's a manual not the useless CVT auto ( not good for off-road use) unfortunately Nissan decided to use from the T31 onwards.
Because the T30s only got to 2007, they are now getting a bit old and finding one in good condition might be harder. They also only came in petrol so something to consider too. I personally like the T30 because I like how it looks, has a bit better approach and departure angles, has an option for strut spacers, has less electrics and tech. I wish they came with an auto diesel though.
@@ruggedlife yep, agree with what you said... Have seen some neat low klms T30 recently. I'm currently looking for another one😊.
If Australia had the diesel option in that model it would have been awesome. They were available in Europe and other countries. Your T30 is a great looking/capable vehicle, love it.
I would love mine to be a diesel. Tidy T30s with reasonable mileage is getting quite rare now a days for sure.
@@ruggedlife Yes you cant beat that diesel torque.
Wait you got all those ingredients but only boiled water for tea, what happened?
Haha good observation. What happened was, we decided to pack up early and skip lunch the following day as a group of caravaners arrived next to us and ruined our peace.
@@ruggedlife ah that will do it
Good video, watching it from Kenya. You have a whatsapp group about xtrail. I want to join, I have a 2004 Xtrail t30 2.0 4WD Automatic Transmission.
Cheers. No but there are facebook groups if you search for it.
