I like to think that this Skelator looking Sith Lord was pretty successful in achieving what most Sith Lords were looking for. Immortality.
But did he finally manage to take Castle Grey Skull?
Bro that's the dark wanderer from Diablo 2
That’s no Sith. That’s the Lord of Terror, himself!
Hm, looks more like Mephisto, Lord of Hate? (Especially at 2:35)
@@garnauklaufen6704 was talking about the thumbnail. Lol
It does look like the cover of Diablo 2, doesn't it? Blizzard entertainment used many famous comic book artists, it's possible it's from the same artist
That’s why I came to make this comment. We’ll done.
@@simplyexisting1125 it definitely is
I remember when Darth Bane had to retrieve Darth Andeddu's Holocron from his cult. When he landed, Bane was walking towards dozens if not more cultists who had spears, using a force field which disintegrated anyone who was near him. Bane walking casually while killing all within. All who charged him died instantly. One of the most badass force abilities he's done.
Darth Bane is by far my favorite
@@dracula3811 WRONG! I WILL TELL YOU WH IS YOUR FAVORITE
Why, in all the videos I’ve seen regarding the Force and all of its capabilities, was that one never mentioned in any of them. The recent Sith Lords such as Darth Maul would’ve been truly unbeatable.
@@lewisosborne5346 bane understandable but hes not comparable to the majority of ancient sith lords and maul is arguably one of the weakest sith lords
@@yourbridgy3155 the guy who survived getting vivisected, falling down an exhaust shaft, and sent became driven insane on a rubbish-planet was one of the weakest Sith Lords?
Huh, a Star Wars video with Groot and Diablo in the thumbnail
In my opinion, Vitiate learned his knowledge from every sith holocrons he could find, and it would be also logical to me that he met Darth Andeddu at a certain point in the SW timeline. Darth Vitiate was in the first place named Vitiate by Marka Ragnos, but he later add the name Darth to his name and we all know that the only Darth durring this period was Andeddu, but unfortunately there is a gap in the history and we will never know if these two sith really met at one point. And how did Andeddu already own a lightsaber at this point of the history?
yes
Well, both Vitiate and Andeddu are Canon now. Maybe we could have see them one day.
Darth Andeddu lived long before Vitiate
Is anyone gonna explain or answer? Is there a reason he did have a fairly advanced lightsaber? Especially at that point specifically? I'm not even saying there is or isn't a reason. I'm just curious. I know a decent amount about SW. But I'll admit I'm obviously not the absolute most knowledgeable on it tbh.
@@alexandrucornel9221 After the hundred-year of darkness, but he could have been alive during 5000 BBY, hiding on Prakit... After all he was immortal The facts are that the first known Darth is Andeddu and the second known Darth is Vitiate.
This the Diablo Star Wars crossover we been waiting for??
Love the use of Diablo from Diablo II. If ever there was a Star Wars character like him, it's this guy
I noticed that as well lol
The full story of Jar Jar Binks the strongest Sith Lord of all time.
Minus bane and malak
@@silenthill4 darth jar jar stronger than both of them combined
@@Terminator-ht3sx not as strong as darth Yoda tho
Jar manipulated the entire galaxy... #fact
He was the one behind it all. That clumsy thing was just an act
Honestly one of my favorite lore videos I've seen in any fictional universe obviously there are probably ppl who took deeper dives into the character but in about a minute I have a basic understanding of hyper spacelanes and get a great backstory
Disney literally got rid of some absolutely perfect blueprints in terms of making Legends non-canon.
Yes and no. Now they can cherry pick what they want from legends
Yes they did. They stole ideas from legends and took them and made there own story. Ben solo? Was ripped off from jacen solo. Look at reys yellow lightsaber and outifit and play the force unleashed 2 dlc were you right leia. They ripped that idea off to. So more rip offs to come
They should eliminate Ashoka, I would
Sion didn't die until he was convinced otherwise he found true immortality himself.
Diablo is part of the Thumbnail?
'Darth' literally means victory over death! So it's not surprising that the term started with him. All hail the God-King of Prakith!
Another great video my friend.
ah yes, my favourite sith lord, Darth Diablo
He looks So terrifying
I would love more stories on this... unfortunately I don't think it will ever happen...
I remember reading a Star Wars novel where Vader tried healing himself using Dark Side. He succeeded, but only for a split second. He had to fully immerse himself into the Dark Side like never before and managed to get results.
But the sweet relief and joy he felt from having a relief from the pain of his existence broke his concentration and caused him to relapse into his previous state.
Lmao. Darth Andeddu sounds suspiciously much like a japanese english for Darth Undead. How fitting I would say.
Basically a junior version of Vitiate. Vitiate, to this day, remains the strongest Sith Lord known.
I've been playing a lot of diablo 2 resurrected lately AND watching your videos so it was a real trip to see the thumbnail paired with the title lol
Without Andeddu, Vitiate would never have been that hard to kill.
I’m a god king? That’s pretty cool
Darth Vitiate also did this, by far the most powerful Sith ever
Awesome
So Awesome
Seeing as though when Bain died I do believe that his Essence was transferred and I would like to hear more about that in the future from the novel's most likely. Because I don't think there's anything after Bane dies about Darth Zana and her Apprentice Darth Cognus.
I guess there is. Not novelization though. Comics.
Great job on the thumbnail using blizzards diablo 2 art.
you know I did the responsible thing and looked through the comments before saying "how come you got the Diablo II art on the thumbnail?" so thanks man I'm not the only one that saw that
Fantastic video. Yet, he still died. So immortality is fleeting at best.
You used a diablo picture! You thought we wouldn't notice...... but we did.
A fly that buzzes so loudly is not so easy to swat.
«only jedi can heal.» *darth plagueis clears his throat*
@the_stupendous_wave - I would love to see a video done on Zayne Carrick. His story alone is one that so unique and affects many different storylines in SW lore, a jedi padawan hunted by the order, sith, the republics and the mandolorians but is loved by the force so much that he still comes out on the other end.
Wookiepedia has it?
@@RoTenken it does but its not even near his whole story in detail. Personally, his story is one of star wars greatest stories of all time. And his is of great relevance to the lore, since he was the first incarnation of what we believe to be the "chosen one"
Let's not forget Set Harth, Zannah's "escaped" apprentice.
He stole the Essence Transfer power and basically continued his self serving dark jedi ways from the time of Bane and up to the dawn of the Empire and longer still... would he be the most successful user of that power? Possibly so...
Ah the nephalim weilders of the force.
Ah, I see, so hyperspace travel is just traveling through the warp. Gotcha
This is exactly why I just can't believe it when I hear that sidious was "the most powerful sith lordof all time".. no matter who or what says it was true, I just can't see it. Dudes like this guy, darth bane, revan, Malik, nihilus, malgus, etc. Are just way more impressive no matter how you swing it. Sidious spent his entire life studying these sith lords and their techniques, and could still only manage pale imitations. He created few, if any, notable force techniques of his own. He was hardly the best at any he did learn, aside from supposedly force lightning, an intimidating power that every sith lord knows and can be blocked by a padawan raising their arm.
Even if we go with maximum, unlimited power legends sidious, whoopdeedoo.. force storm. Now He barely reaches nihilus' baseline with immense effort, he can Wipe out a planet. Dudes like revan or bane would obliterate sidious, and no one can convince me otherwise.
Sidious power level just really inconsistent and heavy depend of source. Like in movies he pretty grounded and in some comics can destrou fleets just barely think about it.
Power creep
Sidious very very powerful but theres always smoone better my friend you are right
Nihilus would kick alpatines ass
Star Wars is crazy because this kind of crazy cosmic stuff existing in the same universe as C-3PO and R2-D2
Bro there's like 14 sith Lords that think they've discovered immortality. The most prominent being tenebrae/vitiate/valkorion, bane, marka ragnos, ajunta pall, naga shadow, ludo kresh, tenebrous, plagueis, sidious, krayt, etc.
no big surprise that Andeddu's techniques became the templates for more modern templates for modern cloaning which modern siths like Sideous would utelize in unknown planets like Exegoal and in an ironic twist I suspect he would have this ancient sith lord Andeddu to thank for
Darth Andeddu: God King
Vitiate: Amateur.
However the amateur was even more skilful than the God King in essence transfer.
The dark side seems pretty powerful, how come we never hear about any of these cool accomplishments from the light side of the force. They don't seem to do anything
Because the writers don't focus all that much on the light side and these channels barely expose what little material does exist on light side users' feats on their channels.
The biggest feat I could find that is a light side ability(might be wrong, correct me if so) is "Wall of Light" which lets the users trap a force user within and completely sever their link to the force.
It's not that it's more powerful, but that the Dark Side is easier to gain power at the risk of fully succumbing to the corruption. A Light Side user can eventually reach OP levels, but it takes a lot longer.
Luke Skywalker became one with the force without dying in order to fight Abeloth a near god like dark side being. The thing is jedi wouldn't use the force to their own gain. Only in a defensive or passive sense. Most of them and most of the time anyway.
Those jedi masters that malak and his apprentice kill in the cinematic scenes all should have some.deceng back stories considering their skill levels and status within the order. Even jedi around revans time.ahould have some interesting stories and battles yet we never really hear anytbing about it.
Could be due to the jedi not being al that creative in seeking out powers. And storytelling wise, creation stories are far less exciting to tell and far more complex to make exciting. That may also have something to do with it.
I recall having seen so many Jedi in the movies casting heal spells...
A true dark reaper to be feared.
I guarantee if Lucasfilm dedicated a Disney + (live action) Anthology series with Kenobi's budget to Legend's characters like this? It would be an instant hit.
they are.
no cause theyd just fuck them up. imagine dumbed down disney revan.
or imagine disney lords of the sith stories. it wouls be the most bland childish slapstick shit
This is the Mummy star wars style
Actually no, Darth Sidious did not come back through essence transfer in Cannon, as all genuine Star Wars fans would know and uphold, Star Wars has ended with episode 6.
Well actually we are fine with legends sidious just not the movies after episode 6 so I agree with you there!
Thx for your videos, aand i would love to see a video about darth scabrous.
Andeddu.. the more you hear it the more it sounds like 'a dead dude'. It also goes without mentioning, he looks, how you say, not alive..
Andeddu is the Japanese pronunciation of Undead
Uh Essenes transfer, darth andeddu, the Sith who found a way to cheat death, well vitiate also found a power, but their methods were different, darth andeddu transferred his soul into a new host, Whereas vitiate killed an entire planet stealing its every single things life essence making him immortal to age, it also helps that he also knew Essenes transfer
Actually Vitiate was so proficient in essence transfer that he used more than one body and planted seedlike fractures of his soul in others not only to corrupt and control them, but also to prepare their body for his soul.
Vitiate could even posses every people on a whole planet with his soul.
His soul traveled back in time.
Vitiate is the real immortal master of this technique.
@@revaniac oh yeah thats right, he had different bodies in the old republic mmo, I forgot how he eventually died, the guy wanted to kill the entire galaxy to become a force god
@@revaniac It's theorized that Vitiate is still alive because they recategorized him on the wiki not too long ago without notice to a Force Entity. And Force Entities cannot be removed, ever.
@@KaunPrime actually, there is a place, a Dimension, where the souls of dead darkside users go and it is kind of a hell Dimension.
And Vitiate really died, if you play the story of swtor further.
And every force entity and force user can easily be killed by puttinge Ysalamiri next to them
@@KaunPrime removed by who? Wdym?
Is that diablo bro. That's great lol
Wait whoa, not to take away from the video or it's subject matter, as I really enjoyed it and your coverage of anything from Legends, especially ancient sith lore, but what is the source for the image used at 2:15??? Cause that's really cool lol and if it's not intended to be a depiction of andeddu, then well done finding an image that's so similar to his character design. 👍 however if it is a depiction of andeddu please tell me where you found it and if there's anymore this artist has made lol
I love how his name is just Undead scrambled lol.
Darth Sion out here like...
Big Diablo: LoD vibes from the necro in a hood!
Love how the thumbnail is the dude Diablo possessed in Diablo and is not a Star Wars man at all 👍👌
Hmmm. Seems like the Rakatan of the Infinite Empire found the technique of essence transfer before Darth Andeddu. In Star Wars knights of the Old Republic you can find a box with a Rakatan soul/mind imprisoned in it. I'm assuming that it is the same idea right?
Similar but not the same, that’s more closer to what happened to nihilus, where his Essence or soul was transferred into his mask
@@primemachine146 that seems like "Essence Transfer" to me. Only difference is it is forced unwillingly.
I’d like as many of the rule of two as possible
That is Darth Skeleton!!
Diablo 2 cover in the thumbnail nice
They say in spare time when not killing jedi he mastered his diablo 2 skills
Yes
He looks cool
4:30 , so when we saw Vice-Admiral Holdo jump to lightspeed directly into the supremacy that was not real?
i know KOTOR and the like isnt canon anymore but Vitiate was awesome with his essence transfering.
I think Lord/Darth Zash from the inquisitor storyline in SWTOR used or at least tried to use Essence Transfer as well.
The end result was hilarious. Zash got trapped in the alien body Tulac Hord had trapped his old master.🤣
@@Facade953 The alien's name is Khem Val not Tulak Hord
I love learning new things about Star Wars even tho I remember seeing in Theater.Makes total sense that Sith can't heal , Force drain or Consume more like it.
Sith can heal, they just never want to learn it because they want to experience the pain, some Sith have learned force heal before, but only a select few
@@primemachine146 correct
The only "heal" sith really use is life force drain. Darth Nihilus was infamous for using force drain to steal people's souls and heal/feed his hunger
I have a question
So would that mean that Darth Vitiate learned the essence transfer from andeddu ? Making andeddu older ?
Modern Star Wars is lucky anyone like Vitiate never made it to modern times. The Emperor, while impressive, was nothing compared to him. All of them though ultimately succumb to greed and self-preservation, leading to their defeat.
In my opinion, Vitiate learned his knowledge from every sith holocrons he could find, and it would be also logical to me that he met Darth Andeddu at a certain point in the SW timeline. Darth Vitiate was in the first place named Vitiate by Marka Ragnos, but he later ad the name Darth to his name, but unfortunately there is a gap in the history and we will never know if these two sith really met at one point.
For me Vitiate is still kicking in the Unknown Regions...
The dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be UNNATURAL.
A quick question though what about Darth Vitiate didn’t he know essence transfer as well or was his power something different?
it was essence transfer aswell i think
@@aggfdtygggtddfy3841 yes u r right:)
Vitiate also used Essence Transfer, while he did achieve far more than Andeddu, Andeddu lived much longer than Vitiate with it. Though it was due to the absolute isolation of his world for generations over and over again.
I think he did. Knights of the Fallen Empire, when he transfers his essence into the player, looks a lot like what was mentioned above and in TROS. Just imo tho.
You forgot. Lord Vitiate also mastered this power.
I think they are leaving the video games out, unfortunately! The Old Republic games cinematics are still some of the best ever created and I can't believe they haven't made a full film in that style or even make the complete films to those cinematics for people who didn't play the games.
can we get some revan videos talking about the 300 years he was in stasis and just that general time period
Je was in stasis for 300 years.....then....He woke.
I want this guys armor in SWTOR !!!
2:27 that's the Diablo 2 Resurrected cover art on the right.
My favorite Sith lord. If just for his looks - a skull for a head.
The only one who discovered immortality
Lol, Un-dead-u, nice 🤣
God King 🤣 idk just a wild title haha
Just grazed thru the chat an I feel there is a Disturbance in the Force ....
cool
Not me clicking on the thumbnail thinking this was a diablo video to see it's actually star wars 🤣🤣
This video was really cool, it just wasn't long enough and didn't go deep enough into the story. I think this video could've been extended by at least double to four times as long as it was or more, videos like this could honestly be an hour long to truly grasp the story or the character in question.
wave makes the most bare bone wookiepedia entry videos. just copies the text straight to script. thats why he repeats himself so much
Can we get a video on Tsui Choi, the Aleena Jedi?
That's the wrong pronunciation for the name Tenebrae 😉
Joking aside, Sidious wasn't what I'd call successful at jumping from body to body - clones are clearly not the way to go.
I clicked on this because Diablo II thumbnail.... and I love Star Wars.
seems like the Jedi were the ones who found out how to continue beyond death
Sure... This guy is hailed as Star Wars' version of Lord Lucifer BUT like Old said "only at evil.." Least of course that said he did what does best
Ok so he would’ve been the perfect villain for the newest trilogy and not invalidate both the prior trilogies? Phenomenal
Darth viciate also achieved in mortality in Legends though he did it by draining the force from an entire world
Good ol Tenebrae killing it as usual
Nice mtg picture
Lol saw the thumb nail like wait this isn’t the game Diablo
"Colliquial"
The one pic you used was from magic the gathering lol. It's a card called phylactery lich
What of vitiate! I thought vitiate could also transfer his essence.
I love the dark wanderer from diablo 2
Wait are hyper space lanes a part of canon? How does the holdo maneuver make any sense with that ?
bane would train with his light saber in rain storms and come in without a drop having touched him
Essence Transfer is based on the real-world practice of Trong-jug
Wow Darth Andeddu the first Sardinian Sith Lord!
They need to bring him back
