Hell yes bro! Nothing like a nice RC break in, am I right or what! Personally I love the break-ins, that's when you get to really learn about your RC and get comfortable with the system, in terms of radio and engine starting/stopping. Nitrogang baby!!!!. Zenoah 4 life! This basic G270 kicked some serious AS* on this day.

hey Marion! Happy Sunday to you! You know I enjoy a good internal combustion engine RC, just like JEFF does, lol. BTW the Go-PRO was fine, it can take a beating for sure, even during high speed crashed it's ok. BTW I have a protective lens cover on both the front and back. Can you believe how nice this $100 cheap baja turned out, of course lots of things I had to fix, but still. Basically no money was spent of the repairs. Jeff would be proud!!>.
Baja power baby! I’m running a stock Rovan 30.5 in my Rovan Baja, but have a custom modified TMR 30.5cc long rod sitting here waiting to be put in. Honestly the stock Rovan is pretty impressive. I have this thing doing wheelies with it! BRAP!

hey my dude! what's up! You and me both man! The basic G270 seems to easily pull those tall gears this thing has (it's got a speed gear set installed). I will soon be doing some LEGIt top Speed testing and RPM testing, we will see what the deal is in terms of to speed.

what up Mikey Mike!! That was some great on-board video right! I could watch that stuff for a while myself too. The only negative with driving at night is the camera quality tends to get significantly worse along with the stabilization. But still dope! Soon I will be top speed testing this Original Baja.. Can u believe how far this thing has come since I originally purchased it, with a ton of problems. NUTS!!
I love the classic authentic HPI 5B BAJA. I’m glad you got this running and I love the videos when your restoring or rebuilding something. I sold a BAJA I had a little while ago but I should of kept it. It didn’t have an engine or nothin. Now I’ve got a RCMK xcr 1000. And it doesn’t have an engine haha a trend it seems for me. I bought it a roller. Bent rear shock tower. I had to fix the throttle linkages and servo. And it needs a new fuel tank. My plan is to get it running this spring/summer, and mabey play around with modifications on it over the winter or something. RCMK isn’t as well known as hpi BAJA but it’s a tough rig and Dave’s does sell many spare parts for it so I think I’ll keep it around. Or sell it and save for a Losi 5T 2.0. 😅🤪. 4 SCOOPS BABY!! LOL. The only Scoops I'd be able to do is protein powder, and it'd be only 1 SCOOP. I legit don't use any pre-workout at all, only real supplement I take is basic whey protein. How about this, 4 tiny SCOOPS of protein!! ahaha. 😂

Hey bro! Yup man! I was surprised myself, this was the first real speed run I did with this Baja after the restoration. Plus it's only a stock Zenoah G270, with some tall speed gears, and it still pulls it easy, no problem at all.

hey brother! What's going on! Glad to have you here, and sorry for making you hungry! LOL. I gotta tell you, I was super close to buying a giant gas boat similar to the Zelous 48, the Aquacraft RIO 51, you remember those?/. I should gotten one back then, now they are rare. IFyou want a gas RC, I highly recommend you start out with a BAJA or any type, great chassis to learn on.

I ended up getting the full size Rovan 5B buggy like you suggested unfortunately all they had was red which is my least favorite color but after it showed up the red grew on me real quick LOL did you notice that the newest models of Rovan 5B come with that exact same FlySky radio that you're using with your HPI 5B I didn't know if you seen that on their website that now they come with the FlySky radio that you use I think it's pretty awesome now if only they ship them with an internal Killswitch already on it that's the only thing I need to purchase next besides screening for the engine behind the fly wheel tell him no more foreign objects jam up my flywheel
hey man! Major congrats on finally getting a Rovan Baja! You made the right choice with the regular basic length baja, and not the SHORTY. And yes, I've noticed most of the higher trim Rovan models now offer the Flysky GT3-B radio, great F'IN radio, as you can tell.
Don't worry about the colors, what matters is how Rich & Loud you run , aha, JK. Anyway, get yourself the Killer Bee Kill switch (I did an install video on it). Unless you run in a lot of dirty areas you really don't need the fly wheels covers, you can just remove pull start once in a while and clean it out if needed. Ive legit never experienced a problem with the flywheel getting jammed.
@@hybrid32494 yeah the first day I ran it I ran it in a public park in their grass and they just had put new mulch at the playground and I do believe they had some spread out in the grass to where you could not see it one of the pieces of mulched wood went through one of my vent holes behind the flywheel and jammed up the flywheel and would not pull start parking lots of old clothes down businesses somewhere close to me so I can run it on pavement more often Thanks for the info Mr Nitro general LOL you are the biggest reason I got the Rovan 5B and I've had nothing but a blast with it just need to find more like-minded people like you and myself I have one friend that has a losi 5t with a 65cc rc max engine and a lot of other upgrades So he will definitely keep me interested hard not to be interested with a large gas RC hahaha if I'm ever in the New York region I would love to come drive on the track you guys use by the beach I'm sure you don't like to have too many fans just show up So I figured if I'm ever in your area I would contact you and come have a good time I'm just looking for more RC hobbies to drive with So if I'm ever in your area it would be cool to meet you Thanks for all your info I will check out the video with the kill switch

Hey hybrid Idk where to put this but since this video is talking about a 5th scale I might as well put it here I have a Rovan slt 360 and the shaft from the engine that connects to the pinion gear I think it’s called got stripped so I should I replace it or convert it to electric I haven’t heard anyone have this issue though ig I am the only one
hey dude! IDK how easy and/or economical it will be to do a good electric conversion on a 1/5 scale bro. Those electronics are very costly, plus they run lots of pricey lipos also. I would find the part number and just order it. In my opinion 1/5 scale electric conversion tend to destroy almost the entire remaining drivetrain. BTW I did an unboxing video on that rovan SLT 360 buggy. Just fix it and move on, you know. I think the e-conversion would be overkill and lots of cost. You're better off just buying another electric if thats what you want, you know.
