This is like the days of radio in the 20's and 30's. No TV, my parents were entertained by nothing more than a voice coming out of a box. It made people use their imagination.
This group of stories collectively are the saddest I’ve ever heard....
I was thinking this well. These stories aren't usually so devastating.

I felt the exact same way. Lots of personal trauma in all of the stories, feeling bad and devastated for everybody going through one of these experiences.

At the beginning of the final story it was too much for me I turned it off
At least those loosing somebody stories are real and not that ghost nonesense.

To the guy in the first story I live in Minnesota and the cold still gets to me
I am a 52 year old man, and I am in tears over the Jason and Melissa story. Why are all of the good people the ones to get taken from us too early? They had such an incredible marriage, and family in general. It is just not fair.
The Granny P story broke me up, as well. Actually, all of the stories hit me hard in different ways. With the Granny P story, she reminded me of my own grandma, who is my all-time best friend.
I lost my little brother earlier. This year and I feel so much guilt for not being there to protect him like I always had when we were younger. On top of that I have survivors guilt I feel It should have been me I have no girlfriend no kids my little brother has a 3 month old boy and a 3 year old girl a wife a great job and everything to live 4 I would trade places with em heart beat. All can do now is be the best uncle I can to those babys RIP kyle I love u lil brother

How are you guys gonna complain about the stories being heart breaking as if it's a bad thing? If a story can make you feel its emotions and tone then it's a great story. Imo its soothing hearing others have had similar traumas as me, makes me a bit better knowing I'm not alone. Great stories man, I haven't had stories get to me like this for awhile

The story of the little boy and his grandmother was absolutely soul-crushing.
That story of falling brought me back to a memory 32 years ago I fell 35ft broke my back !
It's heartbreaking that all the people in these stories died or were murdered!😢 I wish they were brought back to life! I knew that Grandma P. was dead in the sixth story!

I remembered my grandma with story number 6. Losing someone you really love at a young age is truly scary
These stories are a national treasure. The telling of them is timeless.
It's not the happy, fluffy tales about unicorn farts with rainbow sprinkles that bind us as human beings.
It is the real-life tales of horror, tragic loss, and deep sorrow that bring us together; that songs and legends are written about to inspire and move us all forward along the path of life.
Thank you to all of those who had the guts to share these amazing stories with this great storyteller.

The one about the grandma passing in her sleep - I can't even imagine. Poor child 😥
The man that was in the accident - the pain from the loss of his pregnant wife in itself is beyond words; and having to recover from such a severe accident on top of that - all I can say is that the man that went through all that and survived is incredibly strong. So glad that his little boy wasn't with them.
I don't even need to explain how tragic the death of Bill was. It wasn't his brother's fault - it wasn't anyone's fault. He did all that he possibly could to save Bill without sacrificing his own life. I really hope he's doing better now.

Story number 1: As a native Minnesotan, I can tell you that we wonder how people from the south can be outside in the heat.
Kirsten Jensen I live in GA. In the summer the humidity is smothering.
I live in NM and its warm sometimes but the heat i have to stay inside or ill keep complaining and i also lived in AZ for 8 months this year and all i did was complain about the heat i love the cold so much its my favorite season.
That Granny P one really hit home with me for some reason. I think it's because I have a seven year old nephew and I could just imagine him in this situation. So sad.

These stories are so sad! I cried in a few of them! Couldn't imagine the horror of losing your family members. My heart breaks for everyone who lost a loved one. I have a family of my own who are my everything. Never take anything for granted. Don't know what I would do if anything happened to them! 💔
I lost my dad and sister in March 2014, so i know about losses too.

For me this falls under more traumatic category then just “a scary story” one

I can totally relate to the sixth story I came home from school and found my grandpa dead 💀 when I was about 13 years old.... it’s crazy I still remember coming home to that day nearly 22 years later it still hurts to this day... thankful for my cousins being there with me to help me manage through it how I did
