- Hey guys, Samuel and Audrey here and today we’re taking you on an Argentine food tour around Bariloche. If you’re planning a trip to northern Patagonia, Bariloche is the city you’ll be flying into, and while you’re there, you may as well enjoy the local cuisine! In this video, we’ll be sampling Patagonian dishes featuring wild boar and trout, feasting on artisanal chocolates and ice cream, sipping craft beer at a few local breweries, and ordering pub favourites as well as treating ourselves to some fine dining. So bring your appetite because we’re about to show you where to eat and what to eat in Bariloche, Argentina!

7:48 Sam really has loved dulce de leche ice cream for several years, hasn't he? I tried Dulce de Leche ice cream from Culver's during a few days' stay at my aunt's house in North Dakota last spring, and Dulce de Leche was the flavor of my cake for my graduation party from college this December! I really liked both of them, and yes, Samuel and Audrey's preferences of ice cream are what inspired me to try Dulce de Leche!

I'm from Belgium and we love our fries, but the ones Sam is having with the burger are looking amazing too. One day I will visit a meat market in Argentina on a empty stomach and get crazy! 😅
Those fries are good! They call them 'papas rústicas' in Argentina and they usually keep the skin on, and you can get them with cheddar cheese, chives and bacon.
there is a Belgian fries place in Rosario, recently opened by Belgian Argentinians. I am a Belgian descendant myself so i can recommend it even if a bit far from Bariloche!
Bariloche is capital city of ultimate food in Argentina I would say after watching this video. 😋 Maybe you was even overweight a littel bit at the finish of that trip around Bariloche. 🤭 There is a museum of chocolat even. Absolutely facinating things. 🍫 Oh my gosh! At last... Audrey how did you think out this phraze: "The meal before the meal" about a beer? 🍺😂 Amazing!

That is my kind of location. Mountains, lakes, and great food. What more can you ask for?! Looks like western canada. The hot chocolate looks delicious. Wow. Sign me up! Rapa Nui sounds like a polynesian island. I would love to check out south america some day. Definately Maccu Picu but argentina looks so nice. Sam we would put some samplers down.
It truly is an incredible place and you can also stay in small towns for a more remote experience like in Trevelin for instance.
Rapanui is one of many names of Easter Island.

Sam's fries at 19:21 really do look rather delicious! Perfect for food served at a pub! Dublin's Pass, an Irish-American pub & restaurant in Springfield, Missouri, used to offer buckets of their homemade potato chips and French fries by our request, and I LOVED them! That, along with their Scottish eggs, made Dublin's Pass one of my favorite restaurants as a teenager!

I lived in Bariloche for 9 months. Definitely brings back some fun memories! Beautiful area. Definitely a stark upper class and lower class divide if you step off the tourist track.

What a great food tour with so much to try! It would be nice to know if these places are easily accessible by foot, public transport of if you’re better off renting a car to get around.
We did everything using public transport, but sometimes that meant waiting 20 minutes for a bus. Renting a car is a better option to really explore the area.

That's how you make hot chocolate here in Bariloche, you slow-melt a bar of dark chocolate in milk, maybe with a lil cinnamon or nutmeg

I loved the chocolate tour. Nice to have some spots for the non-drinkers (though that pub hamburger looked cool). That Chocolate museum looked very interesting. Wonder if they sell any authentic ancient chocolate drinks? I understand that the Aztecs drank a savory spicy chocolate. That might be interesting to try. I've had cocoa nibbs which aren't bad.

What an amazing country! I really enjoyed this video and will share it with friends. I am a sweet tooth too and thought that all your dessert choices were super delicious. Maybe you guys are doing alot of walking or that these special meals are like a once a week treat. But I worry about you guys... that's alot of sugar consumption. 50 grams per day is the recommended max. I really like you guys and wouldn't want your health to suffer. If you need a third person to help you spread out the desserts, I'm there for you!
